  • Bristol, Christ Church, City of Bristol, 10-Bells, 20cwt in D.
Christ Church can only be described as a "challenging" peal of 10-bells to ring. Originally a peal of 8-bells cast by Rudhall in 1716, the ring was augmented to 10-bells in 1789 by the addition of two trebles cast by Bilbie.
Footage shows rising the 10-bells in peal followed by a selection of call-changes on 10-bells. The more astute of you may notice the 2nd ringer suddenly deciding to face the wall whilst ringing... this was to avoid the floods of water coming down on top of her...
    Ringers:
Sue Ashton, Lee Avery, Jon Bint, Owen Borlase, Steven Came, Robin Canniford, William Carew, Suzanne Driscoll, Ian Fielding, Alban Forster, Stephen Herniman, Christine Ley, Sam Massey, Andrew Phillips, Graham Sharland, Jenny Sparling, Natasha Trout, Ryan Trout, Victoria Tucker, Ali Waterson, & Katie Waterson.

Very good effort. For the sake of accuracy they were actually augmented to 10 in 1727 by Rudhall. When the church was rebuilt in 1786-90 Bilbie recast the two trebles somewhat heavier.

I've come to the conclusion the international decision to use A=440Hz as standard causes problems like this
      Setting A=437Hz would be better
