    One of the best playing. Love the simplicity and tastefulness of every sound. Good to see a playing with feelings and stories and actually good music, rather than most of the show off demos on youtube. I don't have to describe it. You know those kinds of videos fellas. Anyway, this made me love the P90 for the first time. Awesome demo, Patrick! Suddenly the Fender mustang grew on me.

  • @lespauldisciple3349

    This is a magnificent guitar.
    I got one a few months ago and I'm loving it.
    These P-90's are great. They hum when you crank the gain but rock 'n'roll isn't a beauty contest.
    My only complaint is the location of the pickup selector switch - I keep it hitting it when playing rhythm. (I wield my pick like Jason's machete when strumming.😁)

    • @ransombaggins9301
      @ransombaggins9301 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Camilo Well, not me but my son is loving it. 😁 I have it to him as part of a larger gift of guitar gear for Christmas. He’s a big fan of the style, too, so while I loved the guitar it was an easy choice for me to give it to him.

    • @camilo1455
      @camilo1455 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ransombaggins9301 that's great. I bought a double-cutaway Led Paul Special clone with 2 P90s because I shied away from the short-scale but that was a rush to judgment. P90s are great and the guitar feels like a vintage Gibson so that's ok. Been thinking of installing an after-market P90 in the middle position of my old Squier Telecaster.

    • @ransombaggins9301
      @ransombaggins9301 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@camilo1455 I think P90s remain very under-rated. They are such a unique pickup with a great growl. Raw and mean without being muddy, and can still clean up well and get you some great traditional single coil tones.

  • @nealixd.3011
    @nealixd.3011 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Looks real cool. I always like P-90s most of the time. With two tones and two volumes or concentric pots for each pup, this could be a real winner. Could be wired that way, I suppose.

  • @5urg3x
    @5urg3x 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like a nice project guitar that you can upgrade...
    I would probably get a Warmoth custom neck for it with Stainless Steel frets, maybe some caramelized birdseye maple, something along those lines, ebony or maybe richlite fingerboard with glow in the dark inlays...Throw some locking tuners on there, and even though I like that this is a fixed bridge, I would rather have something with a little bit more mass to it, like the Hipshot bridge...I like the Hipshot saddles better too.
    What's with the non-slanted pickups though?
    Kind of suspect...Kurt Cobain had slanted DiMarzios on his Jag Stang, I'd probably go for something like that, I think he had a Super Distortion in the bridge and then a stacked single-coil sized pickup in the neck, maybe the Satriani one (MoeNJoe I think it's called).
