DIY CAMPER VAN CONVERSION - Iveco Daily - REBUILD!
In no doubt within my mind! The 2005 LWB Iveco Daily with over 317.000 miles on the clock (one company owner) I bought, was ready for the scrap yard!
Over a period of a year I completely renovated / restored / recycled the van, saving it from the scrap yard.
The second year it took, was to actually build the campervan you see today.
5 Years on and our needs and uses have changed for what we need out of the van.

Be good to know how much difference to the ride that you notice after the lot is done.
Cheers Ant 👌👍. Yes, so would I. It can't be any worse than it is now mind you 😅🙂👌👍👍👍.
Great video mate , I’m still on my iveco struggle, full paint job before fit out and many, many other jobs ! I did put a few vids on of mine and realised quickly I’m not that good at camera work ! Maybe see you on the road one day, you said to me it took you 3 years for you build, now I can see why 👍
Yes, it's very time consuming when your filming it too things take 3x longer. In the end of the day, slow and steady wins the race bud and hopefully see you and you're Iveco out on the road in the near future matey 😎👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan it’s getting close now starting to get back into it, I was loosing the love for a while, I’m always getting pestered welding other peoples stuff ! I will do another rough video when I get plastics back on 👍all the best

Yes, They are made like Tonka trucks 😊👌👍👍👍.
Amazing videos mate. You not using the compressed air suspension for the rear anymore.
I have an a iveco daily 2006 and suspension is shocking and will try and copy your set up
Cheers matey 😉👌👍Yes, still using the air assist suspension definitely worth doing as it totally changes the ride 😊👌👍👍👍...
My next upgrade job after all my welding is done and the m.o.t is done
good vid thanks lee
Thank you Lee 😉👌👍👍👍.
Excellent work mate. This might sound ridiculous and tell me if so lol, but could you do this job without jacking the van up and leave the wheels on , just stationary so to speak ?
I know it would be a little tight under there but would everything stay in place so to speak and be possible to change spring, bump stop and shocks ?
Would I need some jacks with timber under chassis to hold the weight of van whilst shocks and springs are off ? like how you did with the big block ?
Thanks
It's not impossible the way you want to do it bud, but like you say it would be tight and probably, the wheel would get in the way. Yes, you would need a axle stand and a jack to lift and take the weight of the chassis off the axle to carry out a Leaf spring change. Good luck 😉👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan okay cool that's really helpful and handy to know!!! Limited space and resources here atm so just weighing my options and possibilities up. Thanks again mate I appreciate it 👍
No worries bud 👌👍.
Hi mate just found your video great stuff I have a iveco daily lwb the front hanger for the rear leaf spring on both sides of mine are completely rotten and I can’t get them anywhere don’t what to get rid of the van the engine and gear box are in excellent condition do you have any idea where I might find them cheers
Have you tried Zeppelin or Bison? They may do them 🤔. Only other alternative would be an scrap yard or someone who's braking an Iveco upon Facebook marketplace bud 👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan cheers mate I will have to keep searching 👍
Good luck mate 😎👌👍👍👍...
Hi, I’m having to replace my front shock absorbers. My top nuts are seized and so I’ll just cut them out. Problem is I first looked at this back in the summer and I’ve forgotten the length of bolts I need to hold the shocks. Am I right in thinking they’re M16 x 170mm do you know?
I didn't measure mine as they came out, I know that they are M16 bolts on the rear shockers, from memory they were the same eye mounting dimensions, so I'd imagine they will be the same on the front. I'm unsure of the length, though, but 170mm sounds about right in length 👌👍.
my mounting points are broken any idea where i can get the part numbers 2005 ivevco dail box van thanks for any help
From memory, zeppelin or Bison parts should be able to help you out if it's the front mounting point bud? 😉👌👍.

Brill stuff looks like a pain in backside of a job tho lol
Wait for the front suspension video, now that's an headache of a job to do 🤕😅, cheers matey😄👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan oh lol look forward to it
Heyya. Youve made this look a total breeze. I cant get over your efficiency. Not a second daliancing. Its refreshing to me a procrastinator.
Thank you, Isabel 🙂👌👍👍👍...
Hi great video where did you get the leaf spring u bolts from please
They come with the leaf springs ( Jones Spings. The link should be within the description ). Or you can buy them separately from Autodoc. 👌👍.
