Also if you haven't played DayZ before, it's a highly PVP shoot-on-sight-or-get-shot sorta game. If I don't shoot someone, they'll 80% shoot me. I'm not a dick for protecting my life :)

I watched a sniper documentary and apparently one of the snipers rules was 2 shots and change positions
Yes, because once you're located you can also be sniped and flanked. Got to keep outflaking your targets and not let them flank you.
Yes, 1 shot can be hard for the human mind to disguise where exactly it came from. 2 shots, you definitely have people looking.

The pvp satisfaction youre talking about in dayz is what makes this game so unique .. in tarkov you prob have all the traders unlocked so if you die you can easily gear up, in dayz its hrs of gearing up and one mistake could cost you several hrs of progress.. pvp in dayz is unlike any other

original arma 2 mod dayz were some of the best times in gaming i've ever had, so much nostalgia coming back with this video. would love some more episodes!

Having a good monitor helps too. High end monitors are significantly better than your average 60hz 1080p monitor. It's way easier to spot enemies on my BenQ than it was my older Asus

What you were talking about with the German soldiers. I was told its called Lines of survival. Line 3 is your extra gear. Basically your pack and everything in it. Line 2 is for combat. Your wepaon, chest rig, etc. Line 1 is survival. Its the bare minimum you need to maneuver and survive in a conflict area
This was FrankieonPC levels of DayZ quality. I loved every second. Please do more.

Got a couple of us to return to standalone for the first time in years. Had some fun. Sadly your server is often so low pop it can be a challenge to even engage with people outside of the traders.

That layering system he talks about at around 20:00 is called the "three lines system" and is worth looking into if you do anything IRL or in games that would benefit from it

i agree, I think he meant more like how lbe and packs are like resting on top of your hips and working with shoulders its a lot better. A duty belt with all your gear on your hips sucks tho.
