I live in Southern California and work in home improvement for a major remodeling agency. When we gut & demolition a space, take it down to the studs & foundation, include full remediation, her price is within the realm of fair pricing. Our wet space remodels range between 10K-27K depending on the size of the space & materials. We service and warranty for lifetime as well.

Thank you! California and Oregon do have a similar cost of living. I think most people who are watching this outside of Oregon are having a hard time this the price as this is a lot for other states. I appreciate your input!

Jeremy-where are you located? I find cost of living in the PNW really drives up costs.

Portland is one of those expensive areas, I live in central FL and doing a shower similar to the one a 4:42 would be something like 5k (customer supplies tile) for about 6 days worth of work and that would be considered good money for one guy. I’m surprised people are still getting caught up on regional labor rates being so different lol

Yes very true. Our cost of living is greatly higher here than in Florida. Thank you for recognizing that!

I have been looking their TH-cam videos on costs for the type of projects. It appears that their remodel costs is way higher than average contractors. I’m guessing they do work for wealthy clienteles that can afford it.

I just signed a contract to redo mine 20 sq foot floor 93 sq foot walls. I buy the tile and hardware the contractor buys the waterproofing, backerboard, and leveling sand. Its gona cost about 5k total for me in South Carolina. 3500 for the contractor the rest is material.

Yes, I hear you! Remodeling is expensive and only getting more expensive. There are ways to drop the cost, but will usually involve a good amount of sweat equity.

Yes, remodeling can be expensive, but there are ways to lower the cost by doing some yourself and being selective on what you do to your shower.

Wow, in Arizona you can cover your "Better" Shower remodel, for $8.0 to $10K(don't know how to get to$28K). This includes tile comparable to or frankly more expensive than what you are showing (e.g.$5-6$ Square Foot), Kohler Plumbing Fixtures and Valves, 1/2" Frameless Glass Door, $500 for Plumber, and the Tile guy that does the demo and the build.

You need a microphone. Sound is awful pricing is outrageous. We just did a complete remodel at your #2 level for $9000 labor and $3500 materials. It included complete shower conversion. Flooring, tile 4 ft up on all wall in bathroom. Shower panel install plumbing, light fixtures and lighting. Rebuild linen closet hang mirror and painting. I’m also in Vegas. We have some of the highest home prices in country.

Id buy all my own material. You canbuy grab bars and really nice shower heads for $20-30 im sure they are charging hundreds for shower heads. I paid $25 for a dual head almost 10 years ago and havent had not 1 problem, and if u do u could easily screw it off. Ceramic tile for a standard shower should cost no more than $6-700 and thats on the high end, the glass doors are the most expensive thing unless your doing travertine or something like that. Labor about $8 sq ft.

Where do you kive Beverly hills id never pay that ever. In wisconsin we dont pay that thats highway robbery. A homes 100k for 3 bedroom ranch. Not that i have one my home sitts at 500k and since joe biden got in probably doubled . That bubble will burst though. Guys shop around best advice i can give.

You probably live in a rural area or not very popular area. The area makes a big difference, so does company size because of the overhead. They have an in house designer so they are a good sized company with several jobs going at once. Just to give you an Idea. An rental space to run your business in a good area in Chicago suburbs is around 3k a month.

The midwest is poor! Low wages and high unemployment. $100k won't even buy you a trailer in Seattle or Portland, let alone a house. lol The median home price is almost a million in the Seattle/Bellevue area. There are a ton of people who can afford those prices in this area. Also, not a lot of illegal immigrants and unlicensed contractors bringing the wages down like in Texas, Florida, Nevada etc... People value their work in this area.

We're in the Pacific Northwest--Portland Oregon area. We don't really charge per sq. ft.--a good part of the cost goes into the shower waterproofing system, the plumber, etc. We aren't just talking about the tile install cost--it's the entire shower including all components (tile, plumbing and electric if you have lighting).
