This song makes me think of the early/mid 2010s bc my mom worked for diamond sports, a baseball company, and she would get Angel’s/Dodgers tickets from her boss every few months. And this song plays during the 7th inning stretch at Angel’s Stadium, and it makes me sad and nostalgic every time I hear it.

I'm only 19 years old, and I love all songs from the 60's to early 2000's. And this is one of my most favorites Edit: I've only turned 20 recently, 2023 I'll be having my 21st Bday (my bday is in September). And I do enjoy some music now, but not pop, hip hop or rap, that stuff 🤢not music. I enjoy Rock, classic rock, soft rock, rock and roll, heavy rock all that sort and some smooth sound music from the 60s - nowadays
I remember growing up in the early 80s, my mom would play the 45 record of this song. For years I forgot all about it until I saw Something About Mary in the theatre and brought back memories of this great song.
Every time I hear this, I'm taken back to my freshman yr in hs and singing along with the music on the bouncy old bus seats taking me back and forth to school. Pure joy.
Insurance companies are no friends of mine... but I thank one that i will not name, for putting this pop masterpiece back on the radar. PRAY the band still has the rights.
As soon as i heard this song ... many years ago now .... straight to the shops and bought the 12" they have an acapella version on it as well as the original ... their voices are beautiful, so much talent, love them ❤❤❤❤❤ i hope they are all happy and well 😘😘😘😘😘 the music lives on!! ❤
No idea why I woke up humming this this morning. Had to try and recall any of the lyrics. Now I am happy that I found a vid I can post a link to on Reddit ---- for gardeners who rage on and on about squirrels and even zinnias. Love this video.

I-I-I need you-oo-oo more than anyone, baby
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
Reminds me of “There’s something about Mary”
Love the movie and this song❤
THIS! That movie was how I first came across this gem! 😎👍🍻

That's literally what I'm doing right now. 🙂🙃
I can thank Something About Mary for That.
@@FruitsBasket08 same lol
This song has NO BUSINESS being this much of a bop
No cap
I hate the colloquialisms. They get worse every year. Please stop.
@@JW-un8ui slang has and always will be around. Be there or be square. 🤷♀️
@@The.gardentalk you have to admit it, some slang just sounds stupid
This song is the embodiment of love ❤️ & spring 💐🪷🐦🪺🐣

I love you too Jean. Sending a big cuddle. ❤
Positive thoughts are always appreciated.
Thank you and may God bless you too
This is one of best feel good songs which means whenever you hear you it automatically feel good , a classic from 70s 🤩
I'm only 19 years old, and I love all songs from the 60's to early 2000's. And this is one of my most favorites
Edit: I've only turned 20 recently, 2023 I'll be having my 21st Bday (my bday is in September). And I do enjoy some music now, but not pop, hip hop or rap, that stuff 🤢not music. I enjoy Rock, classic rock, soft rock, rock and roll, heavy rock all that sort and some smooth sound music from the 60s - nowadays
you have good taste
what about music post 2000, some of the greatest albums of all time have been made in the past 10 years
@@salamibanana8658 last 10 years? Which albums?
A true music lover Will enjoy music made befor they are born too!
I'm two years younger, we vibin the song from the greatest era. 60's to early 2000's, keep rockin my dude
This song warps through 6 decades and still 10 times better than the crap being played on the radio.
True
Matter of opinion but I can’t say I disagree with you
Agreed
Couldn't be farther from the truth.

I absolutely love this, such a powerful song.
There’s something about… … this song
This one should have made on Guardians of the Galaxy
Let’s hope for Gurdians of the galaxy 3
@@Makeup_Gal_101 it probably won’t. At the end of volume 2 Quill gets a new playlist of modern music.

Discovered this song through twenty one pilots, such a beautiful song
My 4th grade teacher played this song every morning and it always put a big smile on my face. ❤
Pure joy.
This will be forever one of my favorite songs, every time I hear it its just instant memories and its just amazing.
I was at the dentist this past week and song was playing. 🎼🎶I had to google search the song.🎵 Bring back memories.☺️
I first heard his song in my friend Carol's room and instantly I was hooked, way back in '73, I think. That song was love at the "first listen".
Thank you Geico! I forgot how much I love this song! Everyday I listen to it!
I’m 14 and my mum raised me right. I’m grateful for that everyday😊
Can't beat the old songs
Pure joy!
The distortion on the *"WHY"* is so goddamned tasty. That's some glass-shattering power. Legendary vocal performance.
A song that will endure for ever!! Timeless!!
This was a favorite song of my mom's. We were listening to it, when I was little, and she said that she'd like to be nicknamed Buttercup.
Insurance companies are no friends of mine... but I thank one that i will not name, for putting this pop masterpiece back on the radar. PRAY the band still has the rights.
geico
geico? geico.
@@ssigeon The idea was to NOT mention the company, my friend. But since you put it out there, it's a huge success for them.
@@cybolton302 may I ask why Geico and insurance companies aren't friends of yours?

No idea why I woke up humming this this morning. Had to try and recall any of the lyrics. Now I am happy that I found a vid I can post a link to on Reddit ---- for gardeners who rage on and on about squirrels and even zinnias. Love this video.
Thank you to Everyone Else Burns for bringing back this classic.
