Yay! I'm glad you're back and doing well. I was having kind of a rough night and seeing multiple new videos really perked me up and this is helping me relax a lot. Also, loved the rant on rapiers. "It will happen again" lol
Welcome back, fellow nerd! I agree that the rapier is a cool weapon but one that is somewhat... over-represented in fiction. Partly because of the misidentification of swords that _aren't_ rapiers (small swords and so forth, basically anything with a long, narrow, thrust-centric blade) as "rapiers." A work-around I employ is to use the game statistics for "rapiers" and simply describe them as something more appropriate for a particular setting, such as "spadroons" or "sabers" - I know these are in reality very different weapons, but on the other hand D&D never has been a high-fidelity combat simulation. And if you're curious, 120 cm is just under 4 feet.
Always great to see a new video and get a little life update! Any chance you will live stream the new campaign? Have you picked up monsters of the multiverse yet ( the updated DND monsters book ) and what are your thoughts regarding the lore changes. ✌️ Keep us updated
No we won't stream the campaign. Even if I got everyone's ok, it wouldn't be feasible. Discord crashes all the time as it is. And no I haven't picked up monsters of the multiverse yet.
Would you include reading chapter 9 ( underwater combat ) from the dmg for us with the next video or as a separate little video? I need a refresher also and would rather hear it from you then read it ✌️ thanks!
Yes! So glad to see a new post from you!

So nice that someone appreciates my rants! Thank you 💜
@@SulkyKarris my favorite parts of your videos are often the rambles between reading text.

That's a good way to go about the rapier issue. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely. Underwater combat is an integral part of the quest my party is doing. And I've never run underwater combat, so... yeah we'll read that.
