Behind the scenes look at the creation of some of the scenery created for the movie sequel 47m Down: Uncaged, 2019, commissioned by David Bryan. Under water set initially carved from polystyrene, moulded in glass fibre, and cast in fiberglass, with internal metalwork, and concrete rendering. Figures, columns, temple, sacrificial stone plinth, sun calendar, created in an Atzec / Mayan style.

I was researching MAYAN and INCA Styrofoam carvings because I want to make a home theater and decorate it that way with red LED lights in the eyes and back lighting. If I go the extra steps of making the fiberglass molds then the lighting in the hollow spaces would be much easier... Right now it's just a thought... Thanks for the awesome details!

hi I absolutely love your videos they are fantastic you are true artisans and I'm just curious as to what happens to your old moulds do you recycle them throw them away what I understand certain moulds for certain companies can't be reused because of the trademark in
frictions what do you do with the old moulds
Normally cut them all up and dispose of them! We would be full to the rafters with random moulds that we will most likely never use again if we didnt! As well as the trademark point. Thanks for watching Bill and for your interest!
