I own the Stumpjumper carbon comp and ride it 90% of the time in the high position, it feels and handles so much better on normal trails. Easier to steer, snapier and no pedal stikes.
The flip-chip on the carbon is near the rear shock and to switch it I depressurize it to get to the chip. Its just one Chip and doesn't affect the chainstay length.
If I go to the Mountains and ride very steep stuff, I just put it on the low, but most of the time its fine in the High Pos.
    Cheers from Switzerland

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: After you flip the chip, you will need to adjust the B Tension on the deraileur to remove the slack from the chain. The link below has the information on how to do this. Note it is not mentioned in the manual that you must do this, and I learned the hard way after I noticed that my derailer was vibrating and my chain was very slack. After taking it to the bike shop, they told me it was an easy adjustment by tightening the B Tension allen key on the derailer.

Both Alloy and carbon models of the EVO come with the chip in the high position.
This video is for the regular Stumpjumper Alloy and carbon models. Regular Stumpjumper.
My 2022 Stumpjumper Evo Comp Alloy is factory in the high position.
