Thanks for the VId. Was thinking about getting back into modern after several years and was tinkering with a similar list myself since I generally only play control.
@@caseycornett5182 i think it’s a viable strategy for sure. I love pure control, like these types of decks. I played this deck subpar for sure and still managed a 3-2. The timer on mtgo gives me anxiety playing control decks like these lol. I played back when UW was in standard and we hard Jace, architect of thought and elixir of immortality where the win cons. Then people started splashing red for Counterflux, which is uncounterable, so you would counter your opponents elixir of immortality, which basically won you the game as they would deck out. It was a wild format.
47:35: He sacrificed ranger captain because it was going to die anyways and if your follow up was a non-creature (teferi, teferi, narset or days undoing) you can't do it that turn.
