    Bobby Jones was a great hitter like Ben Hogan with pivot controlling the hands using the hips. The pivot is the engine moving the hands and arms, but regardless if you are a hitter or swinger you need to learn how to use your hands as well.

    Old man golf by a young man of long ago. Notice the lack of lower body coil or many of the resistance angles of modern instruction. Jones' swing is very reliant on tempo and timing. Because of this Bobby was very hot and cold. Sometimes his ball striking would completely abandon him and he would go on a rampage and throw his golf clubs.

      @@rubenzamora9383 handsy arm swingers like Jones are squaring the club up much later in the swing than a modern technique (ben Hogan and later). Margin of error for a timing miss is smaller.

      Bobby Jones embodies the Ernest Jones swing from that era. Ben Hogan followed the work of Percy Boomer which is primarily lower body. For me, there are good parts that can be drawn from both.@@CoIoneIPanic
