Thanks for putting this series together. I haven't watched them all yet, but I start my Peaks of the Balkans trek in a few days, and I will certainly be making this side trip now. Thanks and take care.
Thank yoy for promoting our country, especially national park Prokletije. They are underestimate thanks to the '90es war and our politic. We are slowly developing, and I think that Prokletije will be the hikers and mountaineering paradise. Thanks again for your overview of Prokletije, and, come again🤠👏🧗👍
Hello. What borders do you need to pay a permit for? They are all in Europe, how come you can't just go from one country to another with just your passport? Thank you
The permit is for the hike and it's needed because you don't cross official border crossings while on the trek. You pretty much just walk in the mountains and then end up being in a different country without having an official border post
Thats for sure, its always good to make your own impression in a country - the news often does not reflect reality that well. Otherwise you would not be able to travel to a lot of countries if youd just believe them.
Nice video, I see you said you got a permit from the Montenegro police, but is it recognised by the Albanian counterpart (if they find you up there) or was this purely to cross out and into Montenegro again? :) Thanks in advance
Yes, it is - or at least that was the information I got from the locals. I was checked in Montenegro twice but never in Albania. Probably because I had to skip the border crossing over to Kosovo where they could check more I would imagine. More on that in the next video :)

As an American I always worry about stability in the local Government. We can never believe our news media about where it is safe to travel.
