This was the price KTM India sold the 790 when they had to clear all the bs4 bikes so it was a great discount offered by them I think in the month of March. He needs to get the suspension properly set up! That 790 should not be getting potential tank slappers at 160kph even my spec'ed up 390 Duke will do 160 as stable as a 757 commercial jet. But I have Andreani suspension in the front and K-Tech in the rear ... the dealerships/service centers here have zero ideas of how to set up suspension kits! My Ducati Scrambler is around the same weight stock as the 790 and I have BST carbon fiber at the front so significantly less weight and even at 190 kph it is still extremely stable. But again I have Andreani suspension in the front and Ohlins in the rear ... your handling is only as good as your suspension set up! The only bike that will impress you in the KTM Duke range is the 2018/20 super Duke ... that 709 has a bunch of really cheap parts on it so it will also ride like it has cheap parts on it.

The 790 is light yes. But the NICE road has a lot of uneven patches. That's the main reason for the wobbles. My R1 was wobbling too but of course not as much.
I have a 390 too, and it's very stable at even 155kmph in NICE road with a pillion... Otherwise Solo it wobbles at even 140 on some roads.. I think the wind direction is a main factor

I’m 790 owner I live in Delhi and my 790 doesn’t wobble I recently touched the top speed of 226 without any problem and I touched 226 with a stock bike ❤️ so bro please give correct information I think the problem is in the bike you are riding
Yup, I have the same thing. 200km+ it's not a problem. Good position on the bike (if you seat well, lean forward), good tires (psi) etc. Ofc we have to remember about wind and roads (conditon, wet roads). All in all it's a naked bike with many advantages (good roads with a lot of turns and u'll be in love). Cheers guys, like your videos Bro

I got a brand new 790 just about to go in for my first service. I don't get wobble as bad as this, but I have had the front wobble a few times. I have checked tyre pressures, but when you hit a bump in road it does unsettle the front a bit. I have mentioned it to KTM they said they'd take a look when doing the service maybe they can fix it. Would say it's by far the best bike I've ever owned absolutely love it.
Yes bro, nowadays we only see paid reviews by TH-camrs DV has lot of exp in riding & handling of superbikes we can trust him For DV weight only it wobbles so much then what about other guys I had lot of plans to upgrade from D400 to ktm 790 after this video my decision changed

DV is 100% accurate and true on his review. But the point of wobbling is its driven on NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Elevation) road. Unfortunately inbetween some parts of this road is not that nice(due to uneven patches) like its name 😄. Hence apparently due to less weight of 790 wobbling will happen aur hoke rahega.. 😊👍.
the handlebar shake on the KTM duke is correct as stated word weight, there is good news though it can be rectified; can apply below option's on most road motorcycle option 1) to check measurements for total sag (static sag+rider sag = total sag) start with the same total sag front and rear, below link for reference Eg;th-cam.com/video/mK3flKxf41U/w-d-xo.html Option 2) this is + 2 more of rear Preload (considering the stock set up was at 3rd/4th position from the bottom) to bring the rear up remove/reduce front end wobbling note; the above options are similar or same. option 1 has traceability of where settings were and how it progressed caution; the baseline is that the set up is meant for riding at that particular pace if the ride is harsh in the slow broken road then reduce the preload for comfort. hope this was helpful
U might have explained about power delivery difference (it's pickup) of KTM duke with other super bikes..how the KTM bikes are powerful with less bhp and more torque..Discuss about that people will be interested to watch

I've dominar bs6 , so I used to face the issue of wobbling because I've changed the settings of rear suspension from soft to stiff , that's why now at this time I've lot of confidence on high speed. Issue solved.
I suspect the wobble you are experiencing is due to the crash bars that have been added which is unbalancing the chassis. Take them off and try it again. I'd be interested to see the difference.
The speed wobbles is more likely the wind against your jacket or an out of balance front tyre .I had this on mine always around 170kmh ,was better with a closer fitting jacket ,stopped once I got new tyres ,Pirelli angel gt2 great bike with amazing value.

@DV You might be driving faster than the speed rating of the tyres in that bike hence the wobbling; i have experienced this in the past and switching to high speed rated tyres the wobbling stopped. It looks similar in your video.

DV. Ex showroom of 790 duke is 8.63L Hyderabad price..not 5.99L as u said correct ur information.. & on road price is nearly 10L and its not Value for money.
Duke's power delivery is sudden and brutal but in other super bikes power is delivered linearly... Dukes have good low end torque and gxsy has good high end torque discuss all these factors man the video will be more interesting.. Anyways loved your vlogs always
Hay man duke cant even keep up with Gsxr 750 that has 150 hp has better low end and top end than 790 gsxr 750 can hit 300plus same as even ktm big boy duke 1290 790 is no match for gsxr750 seres

I was just saying DV to distinguish the specialties of the duke 790 because ktm dukes way of power delivery is different than other superbikes..It delivers the highest power in low rpm . Secondly u can't compare duke 790 with gsxr 750... As their name itself distinguishes both the bikes in every aspects.. Duke 790 is a naked street fighter whereas gsxr 750 is a full fledged race oriented motorcycle..And duke 790 cannot compete gsxr 750 firstly because it is a naked motorcycle will face a lot of wind blast while riding whereas gsxr 750 has got aerodynamics and secondly have you ever checked the rpm limit of both the bikes ..Let me tell you the rpm limit of duke 790 is 104.6 (@9000 rpm) bhp and 87 Nm (@8000 rpm) torque.... Whereas the rpm limit of gsxr 750 is 150 (@13200 rpm) bhp and 86.3 Nm (@11200 rpm)...So there is huge difference in the rpm limit of both the bikes so how it can(duke 790) compete with gsxr 750.. I hope you must be aware about the rpm limits of the bikes and how does it impacts in the performance of the bikes.. However duke 790 torque is little more than gsxr 750,😂😂means it has better pulling capacity at initial....I bet you take both the bikes for a drag race then you will able to know the difference....The duke will pull you forward initially by giving a jerk (better low end torque)whereas the gsxr 750 will not pull initially after reaching certain rpm limit(better mid end and high end torque) it will pull....So this is the difference in power delivery of duke 790.. Not in only duke 790 I must say in every cc segment of dukes be it in (200, 250, 390, 790, 1290)

when I buy Duke 250 .. it also has wobbling at high speed .. then I ll realise that.. it doesn't have .. front mudgaurd ..which covers the radiator .. after installating that small part of mudgaurd in front .. my wobbling problem has solved

I think any given day the suzuki gsx s750 is a better bike than this wobbly twin cylinder bike , and produces over 114 bhp and higher torque due to its smooth inline 4 cylinder motor and any given day the gixxy 750 would give the wobbly bike the run for its money or even the cbr 650r

Bro, seriously don't say bullshit. There are enough reviews out there where the bike went to 200kmph without any wobble. I guess Strell had test ridden this bike and he did 200kmph without issues. There might be some cross winds or probably some problem with wheel alignment. The bike barely feels like a 390 due to its mad power to weight ratio.
The discounted price was 7.15L on road delhi in march to clear our the stock....so the ex-showroom price was 5.99L.. without discount it was somewhere around 8.5-9L(on-road)

Another 790 owner, I've done 200 and found her rock solid. My thinking is he holding the handle bar really tight not allowing the suspension to work.

I got a brand new 790 just about to go in for my first service. I don't get wobble as bad as this, but I have had the front wobble a few times. I have checked tyre pressures, but when you hit a bump in road it does unsettle the front a bit. I have mentioned it to KTM they said they'd take a look when doing the service maybe they can fix it. Would say it's by far the best bike I've ever owned absolutely love it.
But nobody else said about the wobbling issues on their reviews , i wonder why , maybe it's because of cross winds i think

DV is 100% accurate and true on his review. But the point of wobbling is its driven on NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Elevation) road. Unfortunately inbetween some parts of this road is not that nice(due to uneven patches) like its name 😄. Hence apparently due to less weight of 790 wobbling will happen aur hoke rahega.. 😊👍.

there is good news though it can be rectified; can apply below option's on most road motorcycle
option
1) to check measurements for total sag (static sag+rider sag = total sag) start with the same total sag front and rear, below link for reference

2) this is + 2 more of rear Preload (considering the stock set up was at 3rd/4th position from the bottom) to bring the rear up remove/reduce front end wobbling
note; the above options are similar or same.
option 1 has traceability of where settings were and how it progressed
caution; the baseline is that the set up is meant for riding at that particular pace if the ride is harsh in the slow broken road then reduce the preload for comfort.

You need stiffer setting at the rear shock, if possible add a 1mm shim. Also roads were pathetic.

I've dominar bs6 , so I used to face the issue of wobbling because I've changed the settings of rear suspension from soft to stiff , that's why now at this time I've lot of confidence on high speed. Issue solved.

I suspect the wobble you are experiencing is due to the crash bars that have been added which is unbalancing the chassis. Take them off and try it again. I'd be interested to see the difference.

The speed wobbles is more likely the wind against your jacket or an out of balance front tyre .I had this on mine always around 170kmh ,was better with a closer fitting jacket ,stopped once I got new tyres ,Pirelli angel gt2 great bike with amazing value.

@DV You might be driving faster than the speed rating of the tyres in that bike hence the wobbling; i have experienced this in the past and switching to high speed rated tyres the wobbling stopped. It looks similar in your video.

Wobble is because of uneven roads, I have experience the same on my duke. Try it on smooth road and it won't wobble

I was just saying DV to distinguish the specialties of the duke 790 because ktm dukes way of power delivery is different than other superbikes..It delivers the highest power in low rpm . Secondly u can't compare duke 790 with gsxr 750... As their name itself distinguishes both the bikes in every aspects.. Duke 790 is a naked street fighter whereas gsxr 750 is a full fledged race oriented motorcycle..And duke 790 cannot compete gsxr 750 firstly because it is a naked motorcycle will face a lot of wind blast while riding whereas gsxr 750 has got aerodynamics and secondly have you ever checked the rpm limit of both the bikes ..Let me tell you the rpm limit of duke 790 is 104.6 (@9000 rpm) bhp and 87 Nm
(@8000 rpm) torque.... Whereas the rpm limit of gsxr 750 is 150 (@13200 rpm) bhp and 86.3 Nm
(@11200 rpm)...So there is huge difference in the rpm limit of both the bikes so how it can(duke 790) compete with gsxr 750.. I hope you must be aware about the rpm limits of the bikes and how does it impacts in the performance of the bikes.. However duke 790 torque is little more than gsxr 750,😂😂means it has better pulling capacity at initial....I bet you take both the bikes for a drag race then you will able to know the difference....The duke will pull you forward initially by giving a jerk (better low end torque)whereas the gsxr 750 will not pull initially after reaching certain rpm limit(better mid end and high end torque) it will pull....So this is the difference in power delivery of duke 790.. Not in only duke 790 I must say in every cc segment of dukes be it in (200, 250, 390, 790, 1290)

Bro, seriously don't say bullshit. There are enough reviews out there where the bike went to 200kmph without any wobble. I guess Strell had test ridden this bike and he did 200kmph without issues.
There might be some cross winds or probably some problem with wheel alignment. The bike barely feels like a 390 due to its mad power to weight ratio.
