    IKEA runs are one of the main reasons I watch moving vlogs. 💗 I love to see what people buy and how they arrange things, it’s so inspirational. 🤩

    I Will never understand the hype around moving to nyc just to wake up from your bed and bump your head in the kitchen. Not only that but you’re literally getting robbed by your roommates by paying that much in rent. This was so depressing. Hope you are able to get some curtains at least

    • @tammyyin
      @tammyyin  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      haha that's understandable! for most ppl, moving to nyc right out of uni is mainly bc of job opportunity and the city offers a whole blend of different industries from tech, finance to art and fashion so you really have everything. the hustle culture isnt for everyone but being in nyc really pushes you to get out of your comfort zone and pursue your dream! i guess this is my main reason for why i enjoy nyc so much

    Y are U in the livingroom & not have one of the bedrooms for a room, again Y are U in the livingroom????? Whoever has that master bedroom is suppose to be paying more rent. U have no privacy no closet space, ur amount for rent should be way less than ur other room mates. Young lady don't U let them take advantage of U!!

    • @tammyyin

      It’s very normal in NYC to make the living room into a “bedroom” space to lower rent. Unfortunately for this building , we are only allowed to use curtains as a divider

    • @MsTellitlikeitis48WithTheTea
      @MsTellitlikeitis48WithTheTea หลายเดือนก่อน

      I live in NYC for 56 years and no that's not normal, whoever is staying in that master bedroom should be paying the most rent so basically they are taking advantage of you @@tammyyin

    4:02, Restart your phone by pressing the shut down button for 6 seconds, it will restart by itself. If your phone is laggy or cannot reset, it means it's too old, even though your phone is more than 5 years old, it gets outdated, similar to in flight entertainment TV plane, so you have to buy a new phone, even though it's expensive.

    Leave the apartment and your friends who take advantage of you. They can see you've low confidence to even stand up for yourself. Don't be a people pleaser, it'll damage your personality. You'll find a new apartment soon

      Def agree. I am bad in confrontation but this is just taking advantage of her. Its super unfair and those roomates are terible. If she has a livingroom then she should be paying half the price

  • @jeannette4
    @jeannette4 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    I hope you pay less rent than the others with your "room" only being half the size with no closet. Even if they paid $300 more of yours and split it between them it would be a nice gesture. Something. This is not fair to you.

    • @tammyyin
      @tammyyin  หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      totally agree! rent should be split between your private square footage, w/ or w/o wardrobe, and if it has a private bathroom or not. But sometimes it is difficult to negociate pricing especially w friends

    • @kristinestocker
      @kristinestocker หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      I'd consider how good a friendship this is if you're in half the space - in the actual living room - for the same price. That's taking advantage of someone not friendship.

      @@tammyyin I 100% agree that you should be paying less especially being in the common area! I say the logical thing to do is to stack your money as much as possible constantly post on TH-cam so then you can afford such a beautiful thing on your own. Unlike everyone else, you got this girl! Shi, if I had the money I would definitely room with you in a beautiful place and split it evenly 💯! But the other consideration would also be to move into a nice little spot you’ll probably be paying 1,200 and with a shared bathroom in the whole building but sometimes you have to do what you gotta do to be where you want to be. And if no one will say it I will, you fuckin got this! Soak in that view and just say to yourself every night I will own a place like this. I will be able to live in a place like this one day by my no help! You got this girl! People have opinions all the time it’s really yours that is more important than anyone’s else’s!
