I like how the timelords are almost alive and not just monsters. When Z-one challenges aporia to draw his card lazion grins at aporia as if telling him go ahead I’m waiting to burn you if you mess up 😭
I mean in the anime, all the yugioh monsters are alive, they are spirits of monsters from a separate world. But ye, that Lazion situation is interesting.
@@FranciscoRamirez-nb4uu well in all the other animes before vrains it is clear so it would be weird if it wasn't the case for vrains. and tbf, linkuriboh looks pretty alive :)
@@magemaster724 Yeah, but aside from Arc V all YGO before had some sort of magic element. In the case of Arc V one thing I didn't like was precisely that they introduced the concept of spirits of monsters, because they did it near the end when the only monsters to ever show signs of being alive were Zark's dragons. So it wasn't something they brought out of nowhere (asuming you didn't watch previous shows) but it wasn't properly developed either, Zark just looks like a singularity since he has a bunch of unique powers nobody appears to have, the show is mostly sci-fi themed. And with Vrains there is no real mention of magic or something. linkuriboh is alive, but because Ai programmed it like that, the rest of the monsters appear to be just soulless programmes
@@FranciscoRamirez-nb4uu well in arc v you still see the monsters being alive, like you literally ride on them during action duels. idk about you but the Hippo Yuya used looked pretty alive. So it is not really just shown in the end. And well the game coming from monster spirits brought into cards is the whole idea of what makes this anime what it is: an anime. And vrains being more modern into technologies than the others does not really contradict spirits existing. I would rather say it would be weird if the anime about the same game had forgotten something past shows had cause they are assumed to take place in the same world, but different dimensions/timelines/times whatever.
Even in the anime they are still sleepy. Slightly stronger, but sleepy. The TCG ones are actually much easier to Summon (so long as you have a free field). The anime ones require tributes or the Ain-Soph-Aur traps, making them MUCH less consistent.
He not only plays with big cards, but his monsters are even bigger. Each Timelord is several times larger than a human, and Sephylon is twice as tall as the other Timelords. And then it doubles in size each time it boosts itself with its own effect.
I wish we got to see someone attacking into a timelord not knowing it's effect, or using a card effect to try and destroy it, would have been hilarious
@@balto2552I Agree. Every card that has had “-shin” or “kami” in its name should have kept a “God” title. All monsters that subscribe to this title should also have the Divine Attribute or be of type Divine-Beast.
The subs are flawed - Ain is the actual name (developing the sentence with each successive trap) - the final phrase (Ain Soph Aur) is Hebrew; meaning “the light without end” or “the light has no end”
no they are not flawed, they just use the TCG name of the cards instead of a literal translation of the OCG/japanese anime names. Edit: wait nvm, they don't use them, but tbf infinite light works for light without end.
@lamarpray5324 no because they said inflict half the difference regardless of life. Meaning she would only deal 1000 in your scenario. Leaving the opponent alive by 1000.
Its not "lazion" or sephylon those are dumb names, its razion from raziel, i dont get why the tcg tries to censor the religious references when this whole archtype its obviously all about the kaballa

Timelords in the anime: Genuinely terrifying
Timelords IRL: I sleep

they are stronger in the real game tho lol
@@drago1616yeah, I play a timelord deck in duel links and it’s funny how long the turns become because they have no idea what to do
i dunno about that. a smart timelord player can be terrifying.
Honestly Sephylon animation in Duel Links should have the tree of life like the Tag Force 6 animation, it would be more epic
Yeah Tag Force 6 was best. Shooting Quasar was epic too.
Z-one may not have the biggest monsters but he certainly plays with the biggest cards.

Sephylon summon moment was perfect
Yusei making 360 circle surround zone to look the entire hand btw
The time lords are awesome I sure wish we could see them in the dubbed version

Really should have kept their original title, Temporal Machine God is badass

I don't why but these time lords gives me the creeps
timelords have a 50/50 relationship with players irl. people either reckon their easy to get past or their the worst cards going.

it's "Ain soph, aur" but whatever.
Hailon got nerfed bad. They should have made her effect to inflict half the difference between you and the opponent regardless of who has more lp.
Its correct because when hailon have its original effect, timelord can win easy with michion and hailon
Yea they should have. Then she could never kill your opponent but she'd actually be useful.
@Balto my idea would have her kill opponent as long as their lifepoints was lower
It would be broken in duel links format. Michion battles halves the opponent life. Hailon attacks and deals the difference (2,000) lol
