That was mighty labor intensive, man I was worn out by the time you got through with the job. "Mighty purdy work," that's how we say it in Texas. Hats of to you sir. I hung in there every step of the way and even backed up 15 seconds here and there probably 25 or so times. I need a nap now. :)
What did you do about the gap of light @1:01:12 near the bottom left along the defroster? Anyway thanks for the video not an easy window at any level. These are the cars they need to put in the tint-offs!
I have my first Trans Am in the shop, and needless to say this video has removed a lot of intimidation, thanks Ralph for this, and all your other videos!
I'm gonna give ya a like on this video for your labor. I myself have been working on these old T/A's since when they were new, and I realize what a pain in the back side they are to work in that small back seat area. (big guy in a small car syndrome) Seems to get tougher as we get older too! Anyways, Good job. I'm ready for a donut break just watchin from the side line!
Great job Ralph I Did one about 6 months ago Kind of a PITA I can't believe how many of those I tinted in the mid 80's, Anyway it was great to meet you at the International Window Film Conference in San Antonio always cool to meet other Tinters that have been around since the 80's.
I've never had any issues with it. I wouldn't go any more coarse than 00 steel wool though. Steel wool is such a life saver when doing retints on back glasses as well. Helps with cleaning crusty old glue off. Just be sure to wipe trim edges with a cloth and air hose the glass and trim off before installing your film. You can't hide shiny steel wool hairs when they get under tint. lol
@@FlexFilmPluswow so that’s how you feel? I was legitimately serious about the sugar high, didn’t take you for the racist type, GOOD OL RALPHY what a shame me and my father bring you good business tsktsk
"It has a back window in it..." Rare in your neck of the woods is it? "I'm going to trim it, it's not going to be my last trim, but it will be my first .." I can't take it anymore... Best of luck to you.
@@techep3 I could not resist. You set that up perfect. Lol. It was definitely put in aftermarket but it could have been years ago. Just tinted it as it was brought to me.
Great video, that was a little stressful with those defroster lines!

Wow! I expected much bigger fingers on that back glass. That black border must have made things much easier as well.

Nice job Ralph I bet that some tinters can even do that back window 👍🏻👍🏻
These old cars were hard like the one in the background I have a 1984 Chevy tomorrow with a slider I'm going to have fun
Gotta do my 81 camaro soon. The tint has been on there so long it faded to like 90%.😂
What about a 97 ford f150 singles cab
rite on can you use bottle of straight Water for pieces that dont stick a tinter said that on tintdude website
Very nice job. 😊👍🇧🇻

Thanks for the shout out!
love them classics
does the steel wool damage the defroster at all?

nice job Ralph nice videos always
I'd like to see a video of you doing the back window on the chevy camaro in the back
just did one. look up rear window on a charger its similar. and "tint stuff" shows a how too
you need all the sugar/doughnuts you can get before attacking that back window! lol

Sometimes it looks like a reflection of Burt Reynolds in the back glass
Where do you get your squeegee
Ralph - why did you choose to spray the outside instead of using your bar of soap method?
AND when do you choose soap vs spray method? thanks
Chuck Ger
I usually just shrink wet when the window is easy to shrink or small. Just quicker for me and saves a step.
I watched this just to watch you squeeze into the back seat. 😭. I’ll call Monday for more Panaflex. It’s selling good.
Somebody had to do it. Lol

I can't take it anymore...
Best of luck to you.
The "boarders" around the edges are factory made
You've been Tinting how long? And on your own film still bite it to find the liner side?
I will learn how to peel the liner with my knife if you learn how to spell. "own" not "on"
lol
Ralph Van Pelt You misread what I typed. I wasn't implying you own your own film. I was implying you are biting ON film you own.
+Joe Jones
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I bit my film because I have amazing results with the final product.

Thought maybe you were hungry at the shop.
What a legend. People can’t do normal rear window because it’s curved. They should wee this
How bout an Toyota mr2 2nd gen, How tough are they?
I actually have not tinted one of those since 1988 if we are talking about the same car.
Why not do it before the glass was put in?
Because I was only 9 years old back then.
@@FlexFilmPlus lol, you guys said it was just put in, that's what I meant.

@@FlexFilmPlus lol. That's cool, I was thinking it was just done before hand or something. Good work my friend!
just use black out for the sides and tint the easier flat middle but get the customer ok1st
Do that camaro in the back
Nice work!

raaaaaalphhhhh where are you

May be a programming/coding error. Try calling in the order
lol I have watched a bunch of your videos and that was the first mistake I've seen you make.
Tint that car in the background those bottom sides suck on old Camaros and Firebirds
We are going to tint it and video it.
