Looks good, That Monza looks good to, I might just change my plans and get one as it reminds me of the bikes of the eighties.

I’ll have no problem keeping that bike super sparkly. Mine gets here Wednesday and I can’t wait! Wanted something like this since the early 80s

As a detailer. You can never go wrong with FLITZ metal polish. Great product made in Germany. You can only get the small tube in home Depot if your lucky. But Amazon has it. And MOTHER'S metal polish. That was. Actually used for Navy Ships.
And use FABRIC BABY DIAPERS when polishing metal by hand. If your going with microfiber. Any will do but to find a softer microfiber towel look for 500 GSM or higher microfiber towels. You can only order those. The store bought microfiber towels you get are usually 150 to 200 GSM. The higher the GSM the softer the microfiber towel is.
Always inspect towels before use and enjoy.

Awesome video! Mine has just arrived in the post. Incredible service. It arrived here in Melbourne from Sydney in less than 24 hrs. Can’t wait to build it up AND look after it. Won’t be my last Monza!

@Rad B.M.X. Builds I’ve had the privilege of seeing quite a few of your collection, what is the best size and best B.M.X. that you love to ride out of all your bikes.
Great bike it looks so hot, and every thing on it is just right, especially with the gold and black colour scheme.
It almost looks as cool as mine. I really haven’t seen many 24” cruisers being posted on TH-cam. Especially in my area, mine is the only one I’ve seen ever from the past and up till now.
You’ve just encouraged me to clean mine today. ✌️😎

I really like a 24” for track but love the 26” for just riding

I treated the inside of two of my 80s frames with problem solvers frame spray to treat and protect the inside tubes of these expensive vintage 80s frames. Then i like to use zymol cleaner wax for the chrome. Awesome video!!

This bike is beautiful as it sits.. Looks sort of like an early 80's era $350.00 - $400.00 Mongoose that I damn sure couldn't afford, sitting on the floor of the Schwinn Bike Store a few blocks away from my childhood home. I will be buying this exact bike, and place it comfortably in my basement as a piece of functional artwork!

What do you recommend for the inside of the frame and forks? Can you please make a video on a rust inhibitor that will protect the inner tubes. I live 3 miles for the Pacific Ocean. Thank you.

I would suggest spraying something like fluid film inside the frame before assembly as well....

OH! Just noticed the Griot's ceramic spray. Very good product. Buuuuuuuut! I would recommend 3D Products. You can use a product called 3D BEAD IT UP and spray the entire bike. Rims tires grips metal chrome. And it will protect it all with ceramic and polymer coating. Not just ceramic. My main go to all around products is 3D products made in California too.

I always throw mine in the swimming pool to clean it.
It's ok though, because I never leave it in there for more than a few days.

Im about 6' 1" tall, 205lbs, do you think im too big for the 24" Monza?

    • @RadBMXBuilds
      @RadBMXBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

No but you’d be more comfortable on a 26”

@@RadBMXBuilds That's probably true, but what if I'm looking to hit the parks and tracks? I want something to pull off jumps and tricks with? I've only ever ridden a 20"..... 26" seems more like a cruiser... Whats your opinion on that? BTW, I really like your channel. It inspired me to get back into BMX and to do my own builds.

I'm also 6'1, 260 when I first got a Monza 24. I have a 26 but I enjoy riding the 24 with my kids much more. It feels more like a bmx. The aluminum cranks make me a little nervous but i'm not getting crazy either. I'm only doing light bunny hopping, and working on wheelies. If they break, I'll swap the bb to a spindle type and something chromoly.
