    -Conservation: The species is vulnerable due to habitat loss and predation by non-native species like rats and cats.
    -Nesting: Galápagos rails nest on the ground, laying 2-3 eggs per clutch.
    -Behavior: They are secretive , rare, and often heard rather than seen, with a distinctive call.
