      @@MUZLIM1234 First of all, are their Islamic teachings really referring to the earliest and most reliable Muslim historians, who based their writings on those who actually knew their prophet? I do not mean information from modern Islamic scholars today but from the historical compilations of Ibn Ishaq (compiled by Ibn Hisham), al-Tabari, Bukhari and Sahih Muslim which are highly respected in the Muslim academic community as an invaluable source of biographical information and original details of Islamic teachings.
      The Quran distributed by CAIR, Muhammad Asad's "The Message of the Quran," should be avoided by serious inquirers because it is the 20th century Quran with Westernized translation that manipulates the naive by changing the wording of unflattering verse and offering mitigating commentary to convince the American readers. This has left the impression that the Quran is full of verses of universal peace, tolerance and brotherhood. The exceptions are embedded in context with obvious constraints blinding their eyes to see and to know the real thing. Muhammad's own martial legacy, along with the remarkable emphasis on violence found in the Quran, have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history even until today.

    I am not a Muslim, but I like to enter Islam. There are several reasons that made me love Islam. They are that Islam urges the Muslim to be clean and purity, and commands the Muslim not to steal and not to wrong anyone. With due respect, this guest pretend to be a qualified historian, however all he does is give none muslim sources credibility, and casts all doubts about the Muslim sources and the Seerah from it's roots! Very improfessional and bias approach.
      And who's muslim that care about none-muslims sources says about the messenger of Allah?
      I hope he read this friendly message and fix his approach.

    • @sutil5078
      @sutil5078 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Dear Fact explained and all, I wrote in another post this, "Since he is so impartial on the earlier sources (sirah etc) which we muslims are taught not to trust 100% , why he gives such a weigh to info about the life of the prophet pbuh from other indirect Muslim books such Taxation books which were written way after Prophet's time.. is not that, unknowingly, a kind of research bias ( look what I found through my research!)
      2. No one said "there were exactly 10,000 men to enter Mecca). And the guest, may God be pleased with him, forgot an important factor that many of the sources, hadiths, and practice of the Prophets were alive and well, hadith collections was at that date, but it was written in different medium, prophets actions and the way he worshiped was immitate by people, or did muslim stopped praying until the hadith collection was written ? of course not, the Sirah books draws from it and from other sources.
      3. Also there were no Christians we know of in Mecca, south of Arabia yes.. Medina some jews but I doubt they were the majority... nor I have ever heard that that the cities above it were Jewish towns!! till sham (syeria)!!!!! no.
      In addition, the fact it is GRAVE Very GRAVE sin to add and delete from the Sunnah, minimize the errors, and the lies.. it would not eradicate it but certainly minimize it, and scholars have critique the sirah themselves.. they warns against some of the stories there. That was done long time ago.
      And no, the artifacts we discovers may not shed light on Prophet teaching to induce us to re write the Sirah 1400 years after.. unless on aspect of trades or minor details.. tools, artifacts will not give much insight of immaterial aspect such as personality of a historical figure, charisma or his teaching.. not at all.. , they are tools they may give light on human sophistication in tools making, on trade.. etc.. but not immaterial side of human figure.... unless you unearth major old books or scroll attributed without a shadow of doubt to great Muslim writers, (imagine we did not have Sirah books and now it is unearth, it does not mean it would be 100% factual)

      Yes, this guy pretending to be a historian in Islam, however his knowledge is bellow acceptable, neither he speak Arabic which enables him to understand the rich Islamic sources, he cannot even pronounce names correctly 🙄
      Big disappointment in this guest.

    • @sutil5078
      @sutil5078 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree, he mistakenly gives huge credit for non muslim sources.. So much catering for non muslims for no reason other than (if non muslims said something good about islam that must be true) at many instance in the video I was doubting if he is doubting, he was casting doubts many times.. When you research a topic in certain region (1400 years ago) non native take on the subject can't possibly be of huge value especially as you pointed out he does not even have access to the source, he does not speak Arabic well!!
      I mean a casual research to learn about islam when he see what this man say..and some muslims validate what he say (just because he is a revert) he will be left with doubts!
      Many many old scholars have said Sirah is not accurate 100% . He mistakenly overestimate his knoweldge because as non native he compare his knoweldge to non native Muslims.. when most of what he said is not new!! Yet hint that Christianity as almost equivalent in trustworthiness yet the bible accounts are made by non eyewitness who were anonymous writers said by Top christian scholars!!!) so bible is not even a match to Sirah (a third tear source!!)
      Even some muslims here fall for the same mistake (wow he knows a lot ) but that is true he knows a lot (for average non native non Muslim people) where is the rigor of scholarly judgement here!! Actually if I talk straight this video does not give justice to Islamic rigorous sources and I had feeling from the uploader face, he was disappointed too judging from his gestures (a lot for a UK person) but that is my guess. God knows best.
      May God grant him more knoweldge and wisdom and you and me and all ameen.. thanks for your comment brother.

      Islam is a fake counterfeit religion of the devil, mohammad met devil in heera cave, he was possessed by demons or jinn of sexual perversion, Khadija tested whether it is an angel or devil, by showing her pussy, so the devil tricked her by hiding, she did not see allah nor the demon or jebreel all were in mohmmad's head , mohammad was bewitched by a jewish man so he had so much hallucinations and crazy feelings, some times he even said he had sex with his wives but he did not, mohammad died of poison that proves he was a fake prophet according to his own words and by the narrations of Aysha his child wife. Look at the character of mohammaad , he was a pedophile, sexaholic psychopath, his allah is a filthy demon of sexual perversions and fertility , that is not the charactor God of Abraham or Ishmael or Jacob or Moses or Jesus will approve, he broke all commandments, he was an adulterer, a murderer, rapist, pedophile, robbery was his hobby, satan put words in his mouth or mind ..he used to have episodes of epileptic or demonic manifestations, falling down, foams come in his his mouth, shivering shaking ...that is devilish, allah gave hims sex food to achieve forty men's sexual power ..for what ? so allah is the same demon. of fertility and sexual immorality, kaaba is the center of demon worship, allah is a phallic idol , the black stone kissing is allah's daughter Al Latts vagina. overall Islam is a filthy cult. Quran is filthy, mohaammad was a psychopath and filthy sex prophet.

    I think the Hadith below applies to you and your guest, my brother.
    It applies to you because I found you honest in presenting information when you started this channel.
    And I think that it applies to your guest because he likes to return the favor no matter how long it costs him, it seems that this characteristic was in him even before his conversion to Islam. It is clear that he intends not to stop responding to God's favor after guiding him to Islam that he will continue his writings on Islam to let more people know about it.
    the beautiful thing is that at the end of the hadith the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, specify who he meant by his saying, “ if they comprehend,” and this applies to both of you and to many of those who reverted to Islam by studying it.
    Although I was born a Muslim, I learned many things from those who reverted to Islam, and this is because of their in-depth study of Islam, and also Allah increases their knowledge by opening doors of knowledge that He did not give to those who were born Muslims. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, for the blessing of Islam.
    Narrated Abu Huraira:
    Some people asked the Prophet: "Who is the most honorable amongst the people?" He replied, "The most honorable among them is the one who is the most Allah-fearing." They said, "O Allah's Prophet! We do not ask about this." He said, "Then the most honorable person is Joseph, Allah's Prophet, the son of Allah's Prophet, the son of Allah's Prophet, the son of Allah's Khalil." They said, "We do not ask about this." He said, "Then you want to ask me about the Arabs' descent?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Those who were best in the pre-lslamic period, are the best in Islam if they comprehend (the religious knowledge).

    Great guest and a very unique perspective on the life of the Prophet SAWW. I have always been baffled by the historical take on the life of the Prophet SAWW and why the Hadith and other similar works are disregarded. However, this discussion does give a better insight into the matter.
    Paul, if will be great to understand from the sheikh specifically how some of the Islamic sources are viewed historically and allow us a view of the Islamic vs Western view on what sources are acceptable.
    It is also important to know the historical understanding of oral traditions.

      @@INJEEL_1028 Whatever the “official” definition is , whether its the oxford definition or otherwise, Islamically speaking, the term is used for someone of the likes of Sheikh bin Baaz, or Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, Or someone the likes of Ibn Taymiyyah. These men were scholars. They were not simply people “who studied in a school” or men who “done advanced study” rather they were people who’s knowledge was above and beyond most. If we used to the term like the definition you have presented us with, then we would have an incredible amount of scholars! But that is not the case. The scholars are few in our time, and they are given this title because they are worthy , and we can seek knowledge from them. And they speak the truth, we don’t have to worry if they are telling us nonsense.
