Encourage is an action that is a two way street. Sometimes I need for someone to encourage me and sometimes others need me to encourage them. That is what community is all about. And I love the cross stitch community. Thank you. You encourage me weekly.

Like most of us, we all started this love of stitching journey because someone else shows us one of their projects. I didn't have anyone to show me how it all worked, and my stitches went every which way. But I kept plugging along and now I think I do pretty darn good. So to all those who ENCOURAGE us to keep on trying, to keep stitching, to keep doing what we love, God bless you all. Thank you from me to all of you. I love watching your videos, I've learned a lot. I send you virtual hugs because I love that you have started this journey to help all of us!!

Thank you. You encourage stitchers like me to get organized and start stitching. Thru this pandemic, I've bought fabric and patterns so when I woke up at 12:30am this morning, organized my patterns by subject and fabric by color. Ready to start stitching now.

Very encouraging video, thank you. I am a new cross stitcher, teaching myself during the lockdown of the pandemic. I'm proud of myself because I have not gotten into the stage of going for speed on projects. I simply enjoy the whole process from picking a pattern, choosing floss colors, stitching, and fully finishing. When it gets done, it gets done. I do look forward to when I can retire and have even more time to spend in my she shed and stitch. But it will always be for the whole process, not just for the finished product.

Every stitcher should listen to your videos. You certainly encourage and inspire me. In my opinion you promote a positive and personal attitude to stitching. I start to watch quite a few other floss tubers but find myself bored with the number of projects they move between and some of the not so well off viewers must be depressed with all the buying of “haul” that they can only dream of. Stick with it Jean you’re amazing. 💕

Going to Hobby House Needleworks this week to pick up fabric and floss for Roxie. It’s an hour+ ride for me but I don’t care. I plan to enjoy being in a real needlework store in many years. Have a happy stitching week.

Thanks so much for the awesome video...you encourage us in so many topics...I always do a “like” whenever I visit the Facebook groups...I have stitched on printed cross stitch fabric and founded the same problems... I still have one about 50 years old that I put away because of the great number of specialty stitches...the variety of “fancy floss” now will help me with the scattering of colors , such variety of floss selections in DMC now(meaning I can wash the project)...wishing you JOY and happy stitching/designing❤️

So many words of wisdom and encouragement in today's episode...as always! Thank you. One thing that jumped out at me was when you said many of us stitch alone. I do; I don't know anyone nearby who also stitches. That's why the online stitching community is so important. I love to put your flosstube on and listen while I stitch. I really enjoyed listening to this episode with your advice about trying to encourage others and also gaining help from the far-flung stitching community. I have been a stitcher for more than 50 years but have had some time over the past few years when I have been involved with other creative projects. I have been astonished to come back into the world of stitching and to find how much it has changed with the advent of FlossTube, hand dyed linens, overdyyed threads..... I am loving discovering so many people who share my passion for a needle and thread (there are none in my life otherwise!). I absolutely agree that we should be proud of whatever we stitch - whether on 56ct linen or 14ct aida, whether with DMC threads or hand dyed silk. It is all part of being creative and is therefore something to be proud of. Choice of thread count may be down to older eyesight, choice of thread may be down to economic constraints - the important thing is that we are all sharing the joy and feeling of achievement that stitching gives us. I am eternally grateful for the pleasure to be had from a needle and floss! (And for the first time time in my long stitching life I have signed up to take part in a mystery SAL - there is always something new to learn and I am looking forward to 1st March and a new adventure!)

Thank you so much for your videos. While I don't have anyone around me who likes to do the fiber things that I do, I feel encouraged every day because I can go online and find friends who do!! I have been fortunate to have many things to occupy my time, cross stitch, quilting, weaving, etc. I also have had the opportunity to encourage my children and about anyone who would sit still for a minute to take up some kind of needlework. Some embrace it and others are just exposed to it and will maybe try it again later in their life.

Your story about printed cross stitch is one i had. I started the statue of liberty and it was never finished for the same reasons you discussed. I then moved to canvas work, but boy when I found Aida and then linen i was so down the rabbit hole. I did not have to finish the background. This was also during my college years as i needed something to enjoy when not studying. I love you floss tube and your way of talking about things, your encouragement has me doing Roxie so i can try new floss as well as the pattern. Thanks and please keep it up.

Love the matter-of-fact way you encourage all of us - whatever our level of experience or ability/desire to spend more or less on our craft. I had never been interested in reproduction samplers in the past. In December I started two(!!) and just this week I checked out your shop - I think I may be in the market for another when I finish these current SALs. Thanks for your encouragement!

Not all of us are at the same point in stitching experience and life in general. I’m always reminding my self that to try something new, it won’t necessarily be”perfect” the first time. We learn the more we do. In some things I do I’m an expert, some I am a novice. Don’t be too hard on your self and remember we all started at the beginning. Encourage others.

You share so much wisdom in each of your flosstubes. You encourage each of us to the finish line. I find when I get bored with a pattern, that I don't have enough "smalls" in my line up. I so enjoy variety in my projects, (different stitch counts, flosses and project sizes).
I want to encourage you to continue your valuable contributions to our community with your very practical and sage advice. Thanks for being who you are!

OMG, I have so much to say. First, the best thing that has come out of COVID for me is finding SALs and this online community of stitchers. I live in a somewhat small town and do not have any stitcher friends but love what I have found on line. Just prior to watching your Flosstube today, I left a message to someone on Facebook. She said she has lost her stitching mojo. I made some comments to her and then encouraged her to find your Flosstubes. The other comment I wanted to say is that I would ENCOURAGE anyone doing stamped cross stitch to covert to counted cross stitch. My first project was stamped and I didn't even know enough to wash it so the blue stamp would go away. I've come a long way since then. Your messages today really hit home to me and I thank you for your time and your encouragement.

I find that stitchers encourage each other all the time. Even just by hitting the “like” button as you mentioned. Each one of us stitchers need that encouragement at some point for whatever reason - no one other than another stitcher understands how comforting that encouragement feels when it is needed - thank you for your channel!!!

What a blessing you are to our stitching community! I think encourage must be your middle name. I am so looking forward to stitching Roxie alongside you and the others in the group.

I love your positive and encouraging words. Your story about the stitcher that stitches and stitches but doesn’t feel any accomplishment affected me similarly to how it affected you. I am currently working on a very large full-coverage piece (550 x 389 stitches) riddled with confetti. I’m a monogamous stitcher - but even so, I know this will take me at least a year to complete. A “trick” I’ve been doing for the last few full-coverage pieces I’ve stitched is, at the end of each stitching day, I take a picture of my piece. I periodically flip through the pictures on my phone and can easily see my progress - which is encouragement to keep plugging along in the stitching. I look forward to your next video.
