@@unidentified3921 I don’t even know about that last part when Celine Dion is still alive. And Celine can actually still sing; she’s just limited in doing so because of her condition. Kelly is one of the greatest of THIS generation, sure. But I don’t even know about “greatest alive”. There are some old legends who even Beyoncé can’t touch today, and I don’t think Kelly touches Beyoncé, either. Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan can still sing. Jennifer Hudson came up during the 2000s (so fairly new) and she’s a powerhouse. Mariah Carey’s vocals have declined, but she still has a little bit there. (And she was an absolute monster in her prime.) Dionne Warwick’s have also declined, but she was also a monster in her prime. Same with Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mother.
@@jalenc4160 Kelly’s vocal range is criminally underrated. I’ve seen her in concert before and she practically blew the roof off of Bridgestone Arena. She was hitting whistle notes and everything.
