This is the 3rd year you have something else at stake that he has to prove to the media… last year it was if he beat LSU, and Clemson and the take the ACC… he did that, and now he has to go and do it again for you to turn around and say something else will be at stake for him for next year… how many more years before he’s the real deal in your eyes you think? I don’t see these type of shows about Ryan Day… why is mike Norvell have to ALWAYS prove himself when your just going to make new expectations again for him next year… you either believe or u don’t in mike Norvell

I think he's right. Last year's team was built to win now. They did that. Kudos. What does the program look like in a transition year? It's not questioning is he elite. It's a matter of questioning is he generational. Funny thing is all we have to do is run the ball. If we are successful on 1st and 2nd unlike we were last year, despite Benson's huge break off runs. Then the season is a wrap. Everything comes down to the OL. They dictate how the season goes. Norvell can call whatever he wants if the OL doesnt make it easy for the RBs then then a couple of Ls are in our future. Not worried about any segment of the team other than OL.
Do the same thing let's shut the haters up every one on the net and the weak fan bases that just talk sit back and watch dbu past present all time fsu between 24-27 championship coming 💪

Outside of some pockets in the SouthEast, the rest of the country hated that college football embraced a beauty pageant invitational in lieu of regular season and conference champion excellence being rewarded. Not so much about preferring or disliking a given team, but the nature of competition itself.

The cement is already dry… the walls are up, the roof is done, and the fixtures are already installed… winning the ACC and competing in the CFP in 2024 would be akin to adding an addition to the house.
Mike Norvell has already rebuilt the program from the disaster that was the “end of Jimbo/Willie Taggart era.” The concrete is well past dry (that was what 2023 proved following a 10-win 2022). This season is about “renovating” - it’s about demonstrating the ability to reload and stay competitive while sending tons of talent to the NFL… that’s not an: “is the concrete dry” scenario.
He’s gotten better EVERY YEAR, at every program he’s been in. What more do you want?
I will say as an FSU fan I would love to run it back with another undefeated season, this time that would ensure a playoff berth. However I think that our season will be defined by two games again (not worried about beating Miami or Florida, those are solid wins in my book) and that is Clemson as always and the game at ND. The game at ND really concerns me, that team could take a huge step forward with who they got at QB out of the portal. Anyone that can make Duke a threat is a really good QB. I think that losing both would require FSU to win (a likely rematch with Clemson) the ACC title because I don't see two losses at large getting in with how the ACC is viewed. One loss in the title game sure, but two losses will be tricky.
But I don't believe that taking a small step back would really hurt FSU given who we have had to replace. I want to see the team reload year in and year out like we used to, but that is not my expectation yet.
I believe in Coach Norvell. I don’t need to wait for the 2024 season to know that.

@@SS-cu4hf its facts. Never know how college will effect someone, being away from home. And the fact that there are always 32 five stars regardless of how deep or shallow the talent pool is that year proves its a sham and just pure guessing.
@@SurferRCIt's not pure guessing. The recruiting services are actually pretty accurate and they put a ton of work in. It's clearly not guessing. It's projecting. There is a difference.

Nothing is at stake for a little sisters of the poor conference and it's not going to change, Florida State has screwed themselves becoming mediocre in a little sisters of the poor conference where they thrive but outside of this junky non football conference, they don't have what it takes to beat Utah or Wyoming so they built there wins in by default in a junk non competitive conference
