What makes this game so awesome is that you don’t have to be a WCW fan to enjoy this classic. I got this game on its 20th anniversary and I love it. I got every championship on the same week I got it. That’s how addicting this game is. The AKI games will forever be the best! Thank you Ian.

I don't know too much about wrestling but your passion for it is infectious, I'm having a lot of fun watching these vids and hearing your commentary. I actually inherited this game, but never really learned how to play it? So it's cool seeing someone who knows what they're doing. I also had a hell of a time with that Raiden part of the MK11 tutorial, but I found it enlightening how they explained about the frame dis/advantages, which is something I didn't really consider before in my casual style of playing. I always go for the Achievements, but I don't like to spoil myself on what gives an achievement until I've already played a decent amount of time in game first, because it's exciting to get the notification when you don't expect it. Thanks for the fun content, I'll keep watching more!!

At last, Sting captures it! That first Rock Steiner match had me laughing. Every now and then in an AKI game, there’d be that one match where the opponent just no-sells and dominates everything haha. I never had Revenge, but I rented it once or twice. It was always fun, but eventually I’d just buy WM2000 and No Mercy because I was a WWF fan. Still though, can’t deny the awesome game that this is.

Also taunting only works when opponent is out of the ring. If I get in trouble I usually toss them out the ring and try to get a few taunts in to get my spirit back up

This was an enjoyable episode of SmackDown 616, man. Although I’ve never played the WCW/nWo Revenge in any capacity, I can see it’s a boatload of fun to play especially as Sting or one of your other favorites IE Nash or Bret. As for me, I associate my childhood with growing up on an escapism on harsh elementary school years by playing LEGO Star Wars with my now-deceased mother as well as playing SVR 2006/07 with my father who’s no longer amongst the living either & obviously playing every possible SVR Game known in the series. That’s memories that I’ll proudly never forget. PS: I am wearing the recently-bought Red “616Entertainment” T-Shirt while I was watching this gameplay of yours. ^^

Weekends we would go to buddy's house and play revenge. Four of us would play a forty man rumble, knock out elimination where we all start as Bischoff. A single match could take four hours. It was the glory days man.

I remember my first time playing this game when it first came out with my 2 cousins, at first we had to rent the game and it would be a few months before we actually got it.....we brought the game home and popped it in and ohh man talk about torture and dangling a carrot overhead. For an avid WCW fan at the height of the Monday Night Wars this game was the best looking, major fun factor and most polished wrestling game ever and we had a blast playing it that night. However at the end man it stung to have to take it back until we got it a few months down the line, must of rented it 8 times lol

As a 10/11 year old a buddy had world tour and a group of us would play it for hours on end. By the time Revenge was released I had my own N64 and it was the only game I played for about 4 months. Still play it on occasion even now
This was definitely in my top Wrestling Games back in the day! Only thing that threw me off was while you could edit a Wrestler and theoretically make your own that way, they skipped out on having a full fledged CAW Mode. But this was perhaps WCW’s most well done game, then WCW vs. The World, then maybe World Tour and afternoon that, Mayhem.
I don't know if you should up the difficulty especially if the UMK3 battle with Motaro is leaving a sour taste in your moth. As I type this, Sting loses to a guy who had a feud with Chucky the Doll! Breaking the Fourth Wall here! In all seriousness much love for you Ian! I still go back and play Revenge at least once a year such a classic! I preordered RetroMania and I'm excited to go for the 10 pounds of gold! Hope you try it and submit a video for it when it's out which is allegedly sometime this month.

I think Rick Steiner was the standard bearer of WCW/NWO Revenge. I've had my ass kicked and lot plenty of times to him lol. Old school wrestling games on the N64 are some of my favorites of all time. I think I enjoyed WCW/NWO Revenge a bit more than No Mercy and I know that's an unpopular opinion but I don't give 2 fucks lol

I’ve got a Morkie named Toby that’s 5, and a Standard Poodle named Pepper that just turned one. We got Toby from a local breeder, he was adopted by a family and they brought him back. It was our gain though, because he’s an amazing little guy. Our Standard Poodle Pepper came from a breeder also. They’re both great kids!! My dogs are my kids pretty much!

I don't know if you've gotten comments saying this already so, sorry if that's the case but, I'm pretty sure if this game works just like No Mercy then its L to reverse grapples and R to reverse strikes and if you press A right as you're getting put into a grapple you can put up your arms and deflect it, although it's been a year or two since I've played No Mercy!

Played the hell out of this game back in the day. N64 tho. Big dog family here. Wife's sister and mother have picked up a LOT of dogs. My wife and I have a German Shepherd; we bought Charlie off a guy to train her to be a seizure alert dog. Also, we have blue heeler mix named Easton. His brother and sister live here in town as well. And a Pomeranian/ Chihuahua named Bruiser that my wife got without telling me. She decided to show me by walking into my store with him in the shopping cart. Also we decided on a cat or chickens so now we have an adorable, yet feisty, cat named Harley and 11 chickens at this moment. Surprised more chickens haven't died off yet, but they are fun. Currently playing Pokemon Y, trying to fill out my Pokedex.
I wish that after you had won the belts to unlock the other characters you could've fought for the title in any of the other modes instead of just the Championship mode. Any time you wanted to give someone else the title you had to fight 7 or 8 (or however many) wrestlers to fight the champ of whatever belt you wanted to give to whichever character. I feel like it would've been super easy to implement this. At least the champ comes to the ring wearing their respective title. Of course, the easiest way to get to where you need to be, you just throw the wrestlers out of the ring and get a count out on 'em.

I try! It fucks me up sometimes, but I feel the need to keep it entertaining. One of the reasons I don't like Twitch is because I feel lie 90% of the time, the streamer is fucking doing or saying anything, lol.
As a 10/11 year old a buddy had world tour and a group of us would play it for hours on end. By the time Revenge was released I had my own N64 and it was the only game I played for about 4 months. Still play it on occasion even now

This was definitely in my top Wrestling Games back in the day! Only thing that threw me off was while you could edit a Wrestler and theoretically make your own that way, they skipped out on having a full fledged CAW Mode. But this was perhaps WCW’s most well done game, then WCW vs. The World, then maybe World Tour and afternoon that, Mayhem.

I think Rick Steiner was the standard bearer of WCW/NWO Revenge. I've had my ass kicked and lot plenty of times to him lol. Old school wrestling games on the N64 are some of my favorites of all time. I think I enjoyed WCW/NWO Revenge a bit more than No Mercy and I know that's an unpopular opinion but I don't give 2 fucks lol

I’ve got a Morkie named Toby that’s 5, and a Standard Poodle named Pepper that just turned one. We got Toby from a local breeder, he was adopted by a family and they brought him back. It was our gain though, because he’s an amazing little guy. Our Standard Poodle Pepper came from a breeder also. They’re both great kids!! My dogs are my kids pretty much!

Also little known secret is to flick the analog stick when ever you get pinned or put into a submission to automatically get out of it. Also I have two dogs one rescue and a rottweiler. I don't know if you've gotten comments saying this already so, sorry if that's the case but, I'm pretty sure if this game works just like No Mercy then its L to reverse grapples and R to reverse strikes and if you press A right as you're getting put into a grapple you can put up your arms and deflect it, although it's been a year or two since I've played No Mercy!

I wish that after you had won the belts to unlock the other characters you could've fought for the title in any of the other modes instead of just the Championship mode. Any time you wanted to give someone else the title you had to fight 7 or 8 (or however many) wrestlers to fight the champ of whatever belt you wanted to give to whichever character. I feel like it would've been super easy to implement this. At least the champ comes to the ring wearing their respective title.
Of course, the easiest way to get to where you need to be, you just throw the wrestlers out of the ring and get a count out on 'em.

So I had the 1st wrestling game b4 WWF & WCW came along but I do have every wrestling game on the Playstation, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Sega, SNES, N-64, GameCube, XBOX, XBOX 360, Xbox One, I'm game system collector but I'm still looking for others to add into my collection
