one of the best full pulls in this video is with the Bounty Hunter! The car is still around, I believe the owner driver is a professor at Farmingdale State College (or, was).
Yeah..if this was the opener after all of the changes the track went through, it was probably not too great... I do remember coming in the mid 90's, after this video was taken, for pro stock, pro mod, top fuel, jet shows etc... the cars would always shut off a little early ... didn't matter though - as a kid, it was AMAZING to see my heroes in my own backyard! No bridges, no tolls lol. In. the last month i did uncover a few video tapes full of racing from here (and eTown!) that I can digitize and post to YT... I can't wait to watch through. I've got many of the greats in this video, among others, from early/mid 2000's.
I knew the guy who raced the multi colored '80 Malibu. We both lived in Douglaston, Queens. His name was James Cacopardo.

Have any from NY National speedway
Sounds like Peter biondo announcing
Track prep musta sucked. None of the Pro Stock cars hooked up or lived up to all the announcer's hype. Great bunch of named stars out there, though!
