I enjoy your videos a lot! In the Far East of Russia we grew up with Japanese cars like that, 90% of our cars were Japanese, most of them being Marks, Chasers and Ctrestas. We had them from 70s series all the way to modern ones now. And to see them in their prime is such a joy!

We would have loved them in Australia but we built the god-awful Toyota Avalon instead, followed by the front-drive Aurion. The new Crowns and Mark X's would be nice to have too, especially with the old Australian large-car rear-drive icons the Falcon and Commodore being discontinued in the next year or two.

Supra1jz I think you misunderstood what he said. He swapped the same manual trans that the sr20 uses and put it in the SC, not the sr20 motor....that would be very stupid. It's not a very common swap but usually people do it because not everybody can afford or is willing to spend between $900-$1800 just for a used and abused W58/r154 trans.
Supra1jz What's funny is allot of the S13/S14 drifters in the US(mostly cali guys) swap their sr20's for the 1UZFE(v8).

Im more into Wagons but these 4door Sedans always had a spot in my heart. In Summer I saw my first Chaser in Person as they aren't really common here in Germany.

All those different JZX/Chaser/Mark 2 etc. cars are pretty confusing though. I can never remember which is which. I think the JZX100 Chaser is my favourite though.

my dream car, Toyota Chaser
Really enjoyed the video. I just sold my 1J Cressida this summer :( I've moved to BMW as I'm getting older and well... you can only get so many 'degrees' of reckless :). 1992 Cressida, white with blue leather interior, pretty stock 1JZ-GTE, custom down pipes into 2.5" exhaust. rebuilt turbos, hydro-fan delete w/ dual 14" electric fans, kept it auto but with a Supra-stic trans-mod (holds and click shift) stock height, was starting to do a bunch of suspension mods (xcessive engineering mx83 stuff). 19-19 staggered BMW mesh reps. Mostly a sleeper/grocery getter as well as my DD.
I don't even into cars but enjoyed watching. thanks for the vid.

Remember GT2 where you would go into the toyota dealership and you were greeted with like a I think it was a toyota trial car. These are such beautifully designed simple cars. Gotta love Japan's design in its hay day.
