This is sick, I've always thought a pack attached to a plate carrier was a good idea, but didn't like the idea of taking my carrier off, or relying on someone else to access it.
This seems super practical to me.
Just a suggestion, try to add some sound proofing or acoustic foam in the room to reduce the echo or have the microphone closer to you. Some sections in the video can be hard to hear.
This is the best thought out & well designed plate carrier pack/panel on the market.
This is a pretty awesome looking pack. Love that it is both functional and connects via buckles. Definitely picking one of these up!

I’ve been using a modified GGG backpack as a piggyback for a few years now, I love it, but I’ll have to pick one of these up to try
I made my own system years ago with a 5.11 Rush 12 pack and 5.11’s tier straps. I basically ran them in the same configuration you guys did, however it didn’t run as tight because the shoulder straps would sit against the back of the plate carrier. My system didn’t work out like I wanted, and neither did that first plate carrier (LOTS of rookie mistakes). I’m super happy to see someone else with the same general idea that I had, but with a successful execution! My question now is, is it possible to get this system to work well with a Crye JPC 1.0?

Sweet! I'd been planning on buying an AMAP III and rigging it up to attach in this kind of manner directly to my plate carrier since it has detachable shoulder straps. But with this, I can have an all in one solution without having to make my own straps

I'd be curious to see don/doffing techniques with radio wiring in consideration. A lot of people like to route a MAST with antenna to the back plate bag and it'd be interesting to see if you can work it around them or if you'd have to sacrifice that set up.

I wonder how it would go if you ran a magnetic weapon retainer or 2 in the lower part of a back panel with a small metal piece some how attached to a bag and ditched the waist straps..
I’m glad you encouraged asking questions: looks like a great overall design, but I am curious about a couple aspects. I used to have an old bag I could attach to my carrier from a company that used to be called Ares Armor. It was their 12 pack bag. I did find that under rigorous motion, the shoulder straps from the bag would slide off the pads from the carrier, and while it wasn’t uncomfortable either slid in or on the outside of the pads in terms of chafing or abrasion, the weight of the contents in addition to the weight of the carrier felt too restrictive for my traps and delts to operate effectively with a full range of motion and I ended up experiencing expedient fatigue. I experimented with sewing some hook to the straps and loop to the pads and seemed to keep everything in place. I wonder if through some of your other iterations, have you experimented with some sort of stays to keep them in that optimal position?
Also of course I’m curious if these are Berry compliant, NIR compliant or IRR not only in the fabrics but the stitching?
Great notes! We looked into ways to keep the straps in place over the pads but they all were either too complicated, too proprietary for other carriers or resulted in noise being created (Velcro). Our solution was to pad the straps with Foam and Tweave but the other half described in the video is to not over load this pack. And yes we use Berry Compliant Materials.
@@shawconceptsllc.8797 thanks for the response, and yeah I definitely caught the point of loading it light and I too felt the shortcomings of the hook and loop solution. Guess I was just hoping someone with greater experience in textiles came up with a viable alternative that wasn’t (like you said) dependent on proprietary plate carrier or shoulder pad covers/wraps. EDIT: the only thing i have concerns about with the pack on a plate carrier is that the side straps will interfere with my side pouches while in use. But besides that, i will definitely look into this!! (i actually tried to do this with a knockoff camelbak and it was A PAIN)

You think you could do a version with just thin, wide nylon shoulder straps? The last thing I want is more bulk under my sling, and it’s too small to load it really heavy to require the padding. I think a minimalist nylon strap setup would appeal to a lot of people.
You can remove the pads and run them just like that!

Would love to see a version that's just a tad smaller, and shorter. Like small SAPI plate length. This is like a full assault pack.
Hey! The scale may seem off in the video but the pack is based off a SAPI plate and is 14" Tall and 9" Wide. Compression Straps also assist with reducing the size if needed.

Do the side straps restrict the usage of/access to side pouches?
It depends on the pouch and how it connects. It will apply pressure to them though for sure
Would like to see the bolt cutters being able to slide in at a angle not straight down where you needs someone to unhook it and take it out

Hey! Not sure exactly what angle you mean but accessing them isn't difficult while you're wearing the pack but stowing them is difficult unless you unbuckle one side and roll it to your front.

I like the pack but I hate the way it mounts to a carrier. I don't want all that bulk on my shoulders and don't want the staps on my sides. Wish it molled to the back panel with zippers.
Is this pack going to be compatible with a PRC-117G and/or PRC-160?

How secure is the pack once clipped onto your pc?
Very secure if your straps are tight.

You can however due to the lack of attachment points on the front plate bag it may not sit the way you'd otherwise like

If you use the Webbing Adapters on the Molle on the chest and not the webbing on the very edges. This will probably make the shoulder straps go into your neck though. Basically it can work but not well.

@@shawconceptsllc.8797 Oh it wasn't your product line. I mounted a pack very similar to yours with the strap mount at the bottom and nothing on the top portion of the pack except velcro. The top portion of the packs bowed out and didn't stay flush. A better design concept would be to run a strap mounting system the entire length of the packs so they are completely secure against the back of your plate carrier. JMHO. No offense to your product
awesome set up!: why is it that no manufacturer makes any gear/plate carriers, chest rigs, etc. that an average everyday poor can afford without them having to be forced, to buy some cheap foreign made knock-off, made with bad stitching an cheap materials. poors need protection and gear to. there is no manufacturer that cares about poors having gear its all about the money and how much a consumer can spend. just saying
Hey! We totally understand your concern and its one of the reasons we started sewing ourselves. We did however find the answer as the business launched and grew. The prime reasons are American labor is more expensive and makes the majority of the cost (especially if you pay them well which we are happy to do), American materials are more expensive (back to labor at the material manufactures') and lastly a healthy margin to offset overhead and grow the business further. Despite those reasons we are not letting that stop us from pursuing a solution and we believe that as our team becomes more efficient, scale up in volume and look into more automation in our processes we'll be able to reduce price for more American's to afford quality well designed gear. In the meantime there are other good options out there so we recommend looking around!
