I've always loved the Voyager. Especially when I was a kid. I wanted my parents to own one. However, the 3rd Espace was the greatest that ever came out. This design (to me) was incredibly ahead of it's time, it was also comfortable and reliable and it was the last "true" Espace, produced by Matra.
The Grand Voyager would be my choice ; it has more room for 7 adults, the weekly shop and is more practical apart from the heavier-than-needs-to-be lift out 3rd row seat which needs a big muscly Superman to lift it out and put it back.
Having a Plymouth Voyager 1998 SE with the 3.0 liter engine and 4 speed trans... it is garbage on wheels. The transmission is the weakest link, but those instrument clusters, door licks and ignition switches are awful too. Fortunately, FAC (that's Chysler's new moniker) is replacing most of it's range with rebadged FIATs. The exceptions being the 200/300 and Ram trucks. Fiat old saying amongst owners was always Fix It Again Tony... today's models bear little resemblance to those of the past 10 years. The ESpace is a far better van.
+Len Watson I thought the Bitsu 3.0L v-6 was discontinued after '94? As for the A-604 torqueflite... a rush-job overdrive trans-axle, developed under Lee... it's issues were worked-out by '98, if it wasn't wholly replaced by a better design. I can't speak about the Espace, they don't sell in the 'States. Wait a minute... Chrysler owns Renault, from what I last heard! Yeah... Lee bought them up--along with AMC--and used their 5-speed in the YJ Jeep Wrangler, and did some badge-engineering to make the 1990 Dodge Monaco & 1987 Eagle Premier... Both of which recieved the trouble-prone Mitsubishi 3.0L V-6! Wait! It was Renault's outstanding shares of AMC that Chrysler bought-up... The Premier was a developed under the AMC/Renault partnership, and became part of the deal when Lee bought AMC out--Just to get the Jeep!
Só mesmo quem já teve estes dois veículos é que sabe na verdade as diferenças entre eles, o que foi o meu caso, tive primeiro Chysler de 97" e agora tenho um Spac de 98", a primeira tem um boa condução e o Cruise Control em grandes viagens ajuda muito, só que os bancos da terceira fila são um só, e para quem o quer tirar tem que despender de muita energia, já a Space os bancos de trás são independentes e todos saem deixando só o dois da frente se necessário transportar algum coisa de dimensões maiores, a condução é muito suave, já os dois da frente viram na sua totalidade para trás o que facilita para quem faz viagens longa e quer comer qualquer coisa que leve para o caminho sem sair praticamente de dentro dela, tem teto de abrir nas duas fila a frente o que é muito bom porque deixa entrar muita luz pra o habitáculo e, na Chrysler isso não acontece nesta versão, para não falar de assistência entre elas porque a Chrysler fica muito dispendiosa. Finalmente estou uito satisfeito com a Renault Espace que tenho.
fuck the voyager , i had this boring car - and i am glad to drive an Espace - The quality of both cars are terrible but the Esapce is cheaper and esier too keep on life
Just to let u know a 3.5 v6 espace 2013 goes 245mph and 280 km/h people say the voyager is faster it is not the espace is much faster and it has leather seats an espace is harder to run these days though because their insurance is quite expensive and their in ridiculous prices the new ones are about 8,000 - 20,000 and voyager is cheaper its about 500-4,000 so definitely i reccomend u the new espace the 2016 ones are epic and espace has 255 hp
The espace is better i have a 2013 one and its awsome with a sun roof and the dash boards are better than any other and how dare u say the espase sucks the voyager sucks
Both of these cars are junk. It's hard to respect automotive journalists that do more trying to sell the cars for the manufactures then actually informing customers about the junk standards both these vans are built to.
