- Hello hello! In this video, I will be showing you around my cozy corner art studio located in my bedroom. Actually this occupies majority of my bedroom because art is life and sleeping is for the weak. I'd sleep on the floor if it meant I get to have more space for my art materials, but luckily loft beds exist so I am able to sleep on the ceiling to make space for my art supplies! Enjoy!

1. What materials do you mainly use for your drawings?
In general, I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard A4 white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencil and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner
2. Did you go to any art school or academy?
No. I took Studio Arts in senior high school. It's not from that class that I learned evreything I know. I did learn new things from the class, but not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I went to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art.
3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates?
I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on TH-cam and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. How I learned to draw my models is using the 9-Head technique.
4. How old are you?
I am now 20 years old during the filming of this video
5. How long have you been drawing?
I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. That's probably my oldest memory of me drawing. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14.
6. Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like.
7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend?
Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced.

I love this! Finally, a workspace video that focuses on function and storage rather than pretty gold ornaments and minimalism. So inspiring!

TH-cam won't let me reply to some people on here, but for anyone that is confused, i think Zyra lives in Australia which is why she is on winter vacation instead of summer vacation. Great video, by the way!! I love these type of videos.

Nikita Jacob it definitely has XD
Can you do a tutorial on how to do the copic marker storage?
agnes-cecile is my idol! she was the reason i got into watercolouring and for a while i practice by observing her style and tried to mimick it and her works just give me inspirations sometimes for my own paintings or stories then i found your channel and now i'm more into colour pencils :p i don't know why, though; but you definitely inspired me to go all full colours (i used to do bw and i'm HELLA SCARED to touch the skin and everything in the fear of i'd ruin it but thanks to you now i'm not so scared anymore) so thanks to both of you! (and also mary doodles, if you know her, because she's the reason i started do hatching and cross hatching, also)
+kaefitzmag SAAAMMMEE! definitely take risks with art! There's no right and wrong with it, so it's safe to experiment, fail and learn with art! So all the best!
Zyra Bañez
thank you! i just got more art supplies (some pencil colour, gel pen, and 0,05 marker) and they give me much excitement. definitely going to try to explore more!

Your drawings are amazing !!! I wish mine were that good!
Wow. It's very pretty! ❤
Your workspace's very nice and clean. Love it. But how do you do to clean pizza boxes before using them ? It doesn't smell ?
Thanks :) I clean them out immediately after, but I leave them out to dry for months before using them for a DIY. I'm not sure if that's actually what removes the smell, but mine doesn't seem to have any
Can u give us lessons for fashion designer like from the very very beginning like fabrics & colors etc.to the end..

+David V. Not everyone does. Not trying to be mean.

You have a better organization this year, I like it. Waiting for the 2016!! All of these videos you made I am asking myself if you want to make real clothes for people or design your own designs of materials, because you have a lot of imagination
Very nice workspace. It's so convenient and pretty! :)
Hi,your work space is amazing and I really liked how you placed each stuffs and all the pens you got,I really envy them! Oh my Lord. I would wish I had a art supply collection like that. I'm so jealous ; 3;. How long did t take to collect all of them>
+Angelic Tsundure around 5 years I guess >_
+Zyra Bañez oh my Jesus ;3;.i haven't even got half of my collection cause I keep buying clothes T-T but like do u save to buy them one by one or several each time ?
here I am again!! As usual I am in love with your stuff and with your work. For some reason I want to meet you in the future. :) Hopefully I do.
How did you paint your desk and what kind of paint did you use? I want to paint my desk but I have no idea what kind of paint would work... And can you make a video explaining how you folded all those storage things made out of pizza boxes? That is a great idea to just use pizza boxes!
Lov Jinxx I got enamel paint from a hardware store. The people there should be able to help you since I asked them for advice. As long as you know what you're painting if it's wood, or plastic etc, they should be able to help you out. As for the pizza box video.. maybe I'll make a DIY video in the future. They're not actually folded. I cut all the sides and taped them together.
Ok thanks!
I keep watching this video for days right now xD
It's really great how you made your storage and eveything seems super tidy and clean !
Can I know how you made this "divider" at 4:12 ?
Thank you for watching! haha I made it out of scrap cardboard. There are videos on TH-cam of DIY dividers, I basically took the concept and made it materials I found at home. I then covered it with colourful & white paper to make it look neat xD
Love your workspace! Thats my goal :D
i used to have that loft bed haha. ikea right?
how do you set up your camera to film drawings? I'm struggling to find ways to set it up so that it is dangling above me and so that my head does not hit it.
Very resourceful!
It's great you'd first build your own storage systems and find what's necessary to your own workflow.
Really nice place to work;3
I have a few questions if somebody can please answer me:
-How can you make boxes with pizza boxes? (here in Spain the boxes are really small and dirty)
-Do you do digital drawings?(I don't have tablet or a digital pen so I wonder myself if there's another way )
-And finally I love art but I can't study it at high school because we don't have it in my town, I really won't to teach myself but it is the same that going to a school?
Love you
Chaima Al Idrisso Hi :)
- I cut out the box into the shapes that I need to make the box and I tape them together. One box takes two or more pizza boxes depending on the size of the pizza.
- I don't do digital drawings.. if you wan to you can use your mouse which isn't as easy but it's doable.
- You don't have to study it in high school. You can study it in university which people recommend if you want to establish yourself as an artist. But you don't need art school or art classes to learn how to draw.
:)
Zyra Bañez Thanks ;3
I always wanted a drawing desk because I love to draw
first video I watch of yours. IN LOVE
I love how you make things yourself instead of buying them
Hey I was wondering if you can make a hand writing improving video? I wanna know how can I improve my hand writing.
I have the set of 132 prismas to!
May I ask what part of Australia you are from? 😊
Beautiful! Every thing is lovely, so organized (and my work space looks like someone threw a garbage can into it 1million times) XD Love your videos! Keep on the good work!
+Emma IceCream haha thank you! ^_^ I'm just a bit of a neat freak XD
Omg your work space is amazing especially the pizza box idea but you know when you order pizza isn't there normally oil on the box or do you just use the out side I the box for the Inside
MamegomaCafeSweets I use both sides of the box actually and I just clean it out with tissue. Plus I don't use the box right away. I usually let it sit for months so the smell isn't so strong or that the oils have dried a bit. Thanks btw :)
your workspace looks very cool u.u
It was so inspiring :D made me want to make stuff again ^^
She should do a workspace your for 2016
Just a question, but could you possibly make a DIY video for how you made the copic marker's shelf holder?
Amanda Kaufman I really want to do it, but I tried to film how I made my Prismacolor holder since it's basically made the same way, but the video failed.. it was all out of frame and it just didn't make sense.. I want to change the colour of it, so I might redo the shelf and film it.. this time hopefully it turns out better :)
your is so tidy! mine is a mess right now! I also have 2 desks but I wish my bed would stay above everything like yours! there's no Ikea where I live so I kind of don't know how to fix this. :/
Or you could look online
Great video, where do you purchase the quill multi board? Also would be interested to know what prisma colours you think are best for faces for skin tone and shading, I only have the 24 pack, but I could purchase single colours from an art shop. Would love to see you use just your prisma colours on one of your sketches. Thanks, I love it when I see a new video from you in my feed.
Tiffany Hiller I got the Quill paper from Officeworks. I haven't used them as much because I haven't got the time so maybe when I use them for a video I can list down the colours (or numbers) :)
Can you make a video on how you actually make all of your videos? (Hopefully that made since😊
