Well he IS the final boss before the post-game after all, then you become the boss to the other boxers as they have to try and beat you
"You know all those fights you either had to matriculately plan all the way through or just swing and hope to god you don't go down? Yeah, he did it first, and better. Good luck" is a surprisingly effective build up to an enemy
I love how Glass Joe's title defense cutscene is just

Something that i noticed is that these fighters can literally kill a man with their strength, so Little Mac was fighting for his life this entire time and he didn’t even realize it

Well, the fact that a Bald Bull withstands a bull headbutt, but a Mac's uppercut knocks him out, makes me think that Mac's fists are more powerfull than a bull, so yeah, he's sorely strong

I like that the intro themes are derived from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out if possible,
and that the instrumentations match each fighter's remix of the fight theme.

I like how the earlier ones from Title Defense are like „Okay this guy hit me hard, i need to train and get better“ and by the last few its either „Easy, I‘ll just use my Supernatural Powers“ or „I‘m so genuinely pissed I will punch this bastard to death“
I'm starting to think Little Mac isn't fighting normal people. He went against a guy that is so fast he can catch a katana barehanded and go the same speed of a bullet train, Fighting a guy that demolished a building in one punch, went against a man that can send bulls to the atmosphere, fight a guy that can withstand a charge from a bull, a man that uses magic to fight and an Irish man that has horse shoes in his gloves

The title defense movies sometimes house clues of the opponents New strategy. Good examples are Glass Joe, King Hippo, Great Tiger, and Bald Bull.

I don't know a lot of them, but I guess Dragon Chan would be similar to Piston Hondo in that he's shown training hard (albeit with kicks as well as punches). Mad Clown I think would be shown clowning around. Masked Muscle... I honestly don't know.

Here’s a fact: The game was made in Canada but Bear Hugger is still depicted as a maple syrup chugging lumberjack who says “eh” all the time and loves hockey, which is how Canadians used to be depicted on US television. Proof that Canadians don’t find that stereotype offensive!

Remember Nintendo IS Japanese and Honda came from the NES version that was made by them. So it makes sense for them to make him an honorable boxer

That’s for when you try to do training by facing off against the person you are stuck on. For example if you were struggling to beat say Title Defense Bald Bull you would head to exhibition and go towards title defense mode and pick bald bull and it will only say practice and you fight a hologram version of the person so you can learn about their moves. That is the scene that plays before the practice fight.
