In my opinion I think it's understandable. I think Dreamcatcher was the first Kpop group to be invited and foreign audiences don't have as much experience with fan lightsticks, so they see it as a potential weapon or viewing obstruction or unnecessary item. Considering being the first Kpop group to be invited to Primavera Sound is a huge accomplishment already and the culture difference, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Agreed, it's all about context. They invited DC, which has Insomnia fandom. They should make an exception. No Insomnia is gonna shell $100+ on a lightstick to use as a weapon, when there are far cheaper and more effective alternatives 😔

The law regarding weapon possession in Spain is very strict. So most illegal weapons are concealed in a way they are hardly noticeable and won't be taken away so easily. Stuff like hidden blades in umbrellas, spear heads in walking sticks, tasers inside flashlights, etc. So yeah... Police has seen too much of that kind of hidden weapons to allow the lightstick in a festival with so many people
