- This video was shot on 6/6/2023 and is my my solo climb and ski of Skywalker Couloir which is a route on South Arapaho Peak which sits at 13,400 ft. This climb and peak are in the Indian Peaks Wilderness and I approached from the Fourth of July Trailhead outside Nederland Colorado.
The climbing conditions were good with a solid refreeze the night before and the skiing was variable with the top section being very soft /rotten, the middle which sat in the shade pure ice, and the bottom some actual ripe corn once through some avalanche debris.
The hike to the base of the Couloir took me 1 hour and the climbing took 1.5 hours. In total It was ~3 hours to the summit and my descent was around 11am.
Overall this was an awesome ski mountaineering objective and an awesome line.
Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions about the climb
