And to add insult to injury, their Celtics couldn’t even win the home playoff games against the Heat. It’s like that arena was cursed after that game 7 win by the Panthers.
@Reintaler I mean there is no way I can prove it to you but I can say I have more than a few comments I made throughout the season on different channels all saying how unimpressive I find the Bruins when I watched their games, and how it seemed like they were riding a magic carpet ride of good fortune and I didn't think it would last in the playoffs
We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them. We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling - we get it. This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.
It's sad when the fan base starts throwing things on the ice when their team loses, thats poetic justice. I'm a bruins fan and 90% of the time Jack Edward is a babling idiot.
as another panthers fan back here at the start of next season, this video still makes me tear up. not the perfect ending but damn was this series one hell of a ride man
I was at the the 6-2 bruins game In Miami, and on the way out I heard bruins fans chant “WE’RE WINNING THE CUP” and now I wonder how those fans are doing.
Nice half-hearted effort by Marchand on the Series winning goal. At least the Little Ball of Hate didn’t skedaddle off the ice while St. Louis scored the Cup-winner like he did in the seventh game of the ‘19 Final. Or go scoreless like he did in the ‘13 Final vs Chicago. Brad got that going for him. Which is nice.
I'm convinced the OT gaffe from Ullmark in game 5 became a specter that followed the Bruins for the rest of this series. They never found a way to nullify the Panthers' gameplan and they were never able to clamp down a winning effort because of it.
Every time I watch this, I get transported back in time to that exact moment. Staring at the screen, just taking it all in, finally the Panthers did something incredible, it still barely feels real.
They are a big time sports city with extremely entitled fans. They are pressured into try harding the regular season to keep up their image. The majority of teams just kind of coast along during the regular season if they are seriously wanting to push in the playoffs because they know that will be hell on them.
i remember watching game 6 screaming were going to game 7 baby and they were so close to losing with a minute left but then they clinch the series in ot. absoluteley insane.
i found your Leafs video saddening & harsh but I found this Bruins collapse video WONDERFUL. I am a Habs fan (yikes) & have loather the bruins for over 50 years now. Thar swayman/ulmark belly bump was nauseating. well done video "tribute"!!
I just read that bobrovski was on the bench for the most part, his contract was also under fire for his playing record this season. They put him in during game 5 and that's when everything changed for the panthers
I played in USA and Canada in more rinks than I can remember, Boston born fan since 1963 as a boy, historical season, it was amazing to see, being the favorite puts pressure on immediately, the other team is the underdog, that's a great place to play from, no one thinks you can win, it's the oldest motivator in sports, I didn't think they'd win the cup, it's just the way hockey works, but I didn't think they'd be out 1st round, in hindsight it was kinda meant to be, look at the Panthers now.
The phrase "you could hear a pin drop" is overused, but that final shot of the crowd is almost haunting. How that many people can be *that* quiet is almost unfathomable, except that we just saw why. I'm not much of a hockey guy myself, but my father hates the Bruin fanbase, so I'm going to enjoy this.
I picked Boston over Florida because of that regular season record, and only because of the regular season record-it takes an extra special team to win SIXTY FIVE games and that couldn’t just go unchecked, and un-acknowledged with me but now I realize just how much of a crusade the Panthers are actually on! 🐆🐾⛽️
@@Limegreenedragon Nah, it’s not even that, I just couldn’t ignore 65 W’s, I mean, do you know how hard that is to do…they set a record that will probably never be broken and if it is, it’s probably gonna be broken by the Bruins themselves! 😄😄😄
People don't seem to realize the regular season is a grind. A clever coach would regard it the way a track and field coach prepares for the finals by holding something back in the heats. In hockey it could be by using your fourth line more, playing the back up goalie more, and occasionally resting your stars. But to satisfy the media and fans every regular season game is regarded as do or die.
All Panthers fans, here’s a message for you guys. 1 you guys did so good, you won a cup final game 2 you guys wouldn’t have done this without the Chicago Blackhawks, they eliminated the Pens so you guys could get in 3 congrats Panthers fans
I'm from San Diego, and last year the Padres had to face the Dodgers in the playoffs and the Dodgers were the best regular season team in baseball. The Padres pulled a huge (and glorious) upset. Just goes to show how little the regular season actually counts for.
I've seen this coming that it was certain of their first defeat against coyotes Since 2009, got shutdown by the Kraken on their home ice, and won the president's trophy.
This is my team and man i saw this coming from a mile away unfortunately. This is what the bruins always do. great regular season dissapear in the playoffs. Its sewed into the jersey. The Bergerone, Chara, Krejci, Marchand Bruins are some of the biggest underachievers over the past 15 seasons. Only won 1 cup. Unacceptable, especially this year.
