tbh I think Gaster is a mix of Determination, Bravery, Justice, Kindness, Integrity, Perseverance and Hate Because each colour means one of them things and gaster has a few black attacks which means hate but he dont have alot of it unless he is angry when he is angry he is the most powerful monster

@@mrdiamonddev4616 except for hate, you're exactly right. It's called chroma magic and can be used by a select few monsters to mimic every kind of human magic.
Edit: since hate isn't a trait, but an enhancer and also has a mind of its own, it cannot be mimicked by chroma magic.
I think it’s called Chroma - where you have the abilities of all the traits (this is canon glitchtale)

Also, for those who have the same concerns as him:
- Gaster wasn't actually dying, we were seing through Papyrus' eyes under the effect of Fear (Yes, Hate can use Betty's ability).
- In the fight against Betty, Gaster was draining Papyrus' magic so he could regain his own (Remember when a monster has a son, he gives up his magic for them to live, so if he absorbs it back he regains his "original" power) Also this is too long to explain, if you want more details search Polychromatism/Duality/Monochromatism on Glitchtale's wiki.
In Glitchtale Hate works a certain way, there's 2 states: *Covered by Hate* and *Inverted by Hate* .
- When something is *Covered by Hate* , the Hate tries to enter their souls but it *only stays in the outside* , covering it. Like Asriel or Sans when they were under Betty's control. So, if Hate doesn't have your "permission" to enter, it can't enter your soul.
- When you "let in" the Hate, you're accepting it, letting it in. Now when someone with a normal trait does this, the Hate will invert their trait (turning *Bravery into Fear* etc.) this is permanent and damages the soul user permanently, leading to death in most cases. However when a Determination user lets Hate in, they are invulnerable to the damage and consequences, because Determination isn't a good trait or a bad trait (it can be used for both good and evil), so instead, the Hate can be used by the owner however they want, if they have good intentions they'll use it for good and if they have bad intentions they'll use it for evil.
An example exists back in Love part 2, Frisk used Hate on his favor (his soul was outlined in black, it dripped black drops and his "diamond attack" with his sword was boosted by black lines).

What you saw was Gaster’s Polychromatism, which he stole magic from Papyrus for, killing Papyrus slowly while using it, and hurting himself as well.
Gaster isn’t dead either, just a illusion.

When all of Betty’s hair is bright pink she can use the ability to take over the attack. She just didn’t have time to charge while fighting Gaster.
In reality, her hair turns pink when she feels fear, the destruction of kumozilla removed her supply of magic, meaning she can't use Rhabdophobia

If she wants to take it down she can. I always shout her out and link everything so if she just doesn’t want reactions then that’s fine. Me putting the Warner mark in the middle of the screen makes the quality of the reaction just look filthy so I put it big next to my face which is what people are watching the reaction for.

The attack that papyrus used was his famous "Blue Attack". Basically, blue attacks means that you should not move or you'll get hurt.

Papyrus’ hands were glowing before sans summoned more blasters, so if sans let papyrus summon his bones/blasters sans wold still be around for a bit longer.
When Chara blocked the attack it was a reference to the first episode in the first season.

Btw the duality arms only is called chromotism but he's full form with all his 7 hands and 2 mega hands and 1 mega purple gaster blaster is called polychromotism
The hands are called chroma magic. The small ones are just normal chroma hands. The big ones are just duality and then only both at once and the huge blaster is called polychromatism.

Chroma is a type of magic that allows the magic who possess it to use the some of the powers of the other traits.(i.e. Gaster's magic attacks channeled with the Hands and more than likely, Season 1 HATE!Chara's Knife(which I will now start calling the Chroma Knife))

Alright, late explanation:
In glitchtale, a child of a monster is pretty much made of their magic. For instance, when sans dies, gaster gets that magic back. That is why gaster uses papyrus to gain more magic to use more powerful attacks during the fight.
Also fun fact: Gaster never moved during the fight, taking from his father’s training.
The reason he obliterated Betty for good was also due to the fact that, when Sans' power returned, so did a bit of Determination. Not enough to cause any changes to Gaster (apart from maybe his destablisation in the post credits to ep 9) but enough to invoke the rule that only Determination will defeat Fear.
If your still wondering how gaster killed Betty his original power in called chroma magic and chroma magic is able to mimic all of the human traits so he mimicked determination to kill Betty if you want to know more about chroma magic it’s on the glitchtale wiki

First he was in the void in season 1
Then in season 2 he lost sans, his lab, got CLAPPED by Betty coz she used cheat codes, lost alphys, had to watch sans come back under Betty's control, tortured himself to bring sans back only to lose him again. Oh and he lost Jessica after befriending her and is on the verge of losing asgore
Those are all BIG hits to him while only a select few others get hit by these things as hard as he did and nobody gets hit by all of them on that level
He reached his breaking point, represented by the glass.
And you KNOW this man is a badass when he won without determination

Gaster is simply draining the raw magic power from papyrus to fuel Polychromatism and using it as fuel for Determination type attacks. His eyes turn purple because he's using polychromatism by using the magic from sans and the magic drained from papyrus. To use determination type attacks to eliminate betty. Which are literally the only way to truely kill the fear soul. Which is why he said undyne had a chance. Because she had determination. And Gaster mimics it to hopefully eliminate betty.
He drains papyrus's hp and magic to have enough energy for these attacks

When I first watched the episode all i could think of are memes i could make.
Who ever scripted that fight between Gaster and Betty fucking nailed it. Thats exactly what a one sided domination fight should be like. Part messing with the opponent that stands no chance in hell and then a brutal reality check where they realize just how badly they fucked up.

Papyrus didn't care if he died but gaster killed betty. He stopped gaster because he noticed his (gaster's) soul cracking.
