I thought about it and one thing doesn't fit me about Ez.38. Israel must live securely before the attack of Gog (v.14). Rather, it seems to me that Ezekiel 38 is about the situation at the end of the 1000 year kingdom, just as the Revelation 20:7-9. Regarding the development of events in coming future, I rather think in connection with Zech.14:2,3.

This is not new. If memory serves me right, Russian and Iran, in 1946 signed a treaty having to do with a withdrawal of troops and oil but there was a reference to Israel. I haven't studied that is years.

Surely someone in the Russian orthodox church leadership has read the Book of Revelation and knows what happens at the last days? Surely they could put two and two together?
Russian orthodox church exists only by the permission of V Putin. During the Soviet era I remember the churches turned into museums and those who disagreed were sent to the gulag for reeducation thru hard labor. It could certainly happen again. Not to mention the culture has been deeply antisemitic. Just because they read it doesn't mean they interpret it the same way we do. The Baptist and evangelical Russians probably do realize what day it is. But Putin has made it much more difficult to share the Gospel.

What are we supposed to do other than hearing about it?
I had a dream a few years ago that Russia was attacking the US. I live near a naval base and in the dream I saw Russian jets going toward the base and a military vehicle was coming down my street and going into homes to get the people out of their homes. I went in my house to get dressed and suddenly the sky opened and angels were blowing trumpets and the dream ended.

Iran tested yesterday crating movement on the Richter scale which was not an earthquake.
Not a shocking move to adjust the notch slightly. After all, they belong on the same side of the fence. Now, they’ve decided to shelter themselves in a home with a similar structure and standards of living. I wondered about this too. Mainly because the Roman Empire split into 2 and moved its Eastern capital to Constantinople. Turkey was a huge part of Eastern half of the Roman Empire. Which I suppose eventually became the Ottoman Empire.
Also, Several of the people groups listed in the Ezekial 38/39 prophecy refer to areas of Turkey.
