Scott I enjoyed your video very much it was a little different other than camping but sometimes a man does get tired of watching someone eat his dinner over a campfire keep them coming buddy Jake McClellan the organ boy😊

Thanks Jake, spring is when my camping slows down a bit for wood gathering. I’m pretty much set on wood now though so I’ll be back to camping soon. I’m hoping I can get a coast trip in shortly and then a mountain trip not long after.

Great video. With a view of Mt. Rainier I’m taking a wild guess you are in the Cascades. I’m leaving Seattle in a week or two in my truck camper and I appreciate your video showing the road conditions up in the mountains.

Thanks! Yup in the cascades. There’s still quite a bit of snow at the higher elevations especially in the shady spots.

Nice outing. I'm with you, just gotta try getting a bit further up the mountain! And its Jackpot when you come across a tree blocking the road and no tire tracks in the snow!

Yup, exactly. Where others have turned back we push forward….for like 300 hundred feet then turn back at the long glacier of snow but there was a moment of glory.

I'm with you. A few times I've had to shovel, traction boards, winch, and come0along myself out of the mess that I forced myself into. Smiling the entire time and like you saying to myself " Not is a choice"

@@allentisthammer4763 I found an even bigger rock a couple of days later and walking up the road there’s an awesome campsite so I’ll have to move it to get there. I’ll try to move it anyway. I think I will bring a bar.

I'm headed up to the Olympics later this week as the weather warms. Then thinking about heading south towards Rainer in a week or so.

Was that a brown bear? That state continues to owe you a debt of gratitude for keeping roads open!

Thanks. It was a black bear but it has brownish fur. They are fairly skittish and usually run away from humans and noises. I was driving up the road and it ran, I almost didn’t have enough time to get pictures.

Every year there’s rocks to clean up on that stretch of the road, usually not this big though.

When you say "Rock" you mean a ROCK, that thing is definitely bigger than a grapefruit

Yeah it was a big one but fortunately I was still able to get it moved. Too bad the bear didn’t come down and help out.
