After incorporating the flour to your water butter salt sugar mix keep stirring until a white layer forms on the bottom of your Pan, that Just insures that all the starch granules burst 2. Let the doug/pastry knead without adding Eggs in the standmixer until No more Steam comes of it. 3. After the dough/pastry hast cooled down a little add in one egg at a time and wait until its fully incorporated.

I'm a Justice of the Peace, and I see a lot of weddings. I think this is a spectacular idea, and if I were to get married again, I'd go with a version of this. What a really great idea, and fun and easy for guests, too! I also loved your steampunk cake. I may steal that idea later this year to compete in a local (but very competitive) agricultural fair. I decided to try and make an epic cake while I'm on my easter holiday. It just took me 2 hours to make 10 fondant flowers. It's so fiddly! You make everything look so easy! Haha but it's awesome. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm gonna finish the thing tomorrow.

I love this. Also came away feeling it was incomplete as I’ve always seen these made with the threads of sugar added at the end. I see that it would be hard to do because of the cake, but maybe improvise some caramelized sugar shapes to add on as a substitute?
