Show us a sparring video where your techniques can actually be used. Otherwise this is nothing but Bullshido. Bruce Lee branched out from WC coz he didnt think it was good enough. But u guys kept using his name to promote your art, but your art has never progressed coz ur trying to keep to tradition and maintain ‘purity’. That s the opposite of what martial arts is about. Your WC stance is awful for a real fight, your punching technique generates no power and is useless against trained fighters. Im sure u hv useful techniques, but they are few and its time u evolved ur art for modern times. Opponents of today are very different than those in Ip Man’s days, so your art should reflect that
u are right, its better to learn some modern combat arts also. but i think not everyone learn an art out of pure combate reason. Someone learn boxing since they like boxing. you could say boxing lack wrestling techniques and you should learn sanda/mma/muaythai instead, but still a large bunch go learn boxing since they like it.
@@onlinewong06143413 i hv no problem with ppl choosing to learn an art because they like it. Like wushu, i have a lot of respect for it coz it never claimed to be a combative art. Unfortunately WC claims to be a combative art and keeps using Bruce Lee/Ip Man’s names to promote it, which i find very unethical when your art’s combative ability is questionable at best and your students/masters always gv excuses when you lose. They are tapping into the false illusion of Donnie Yen movies to take money from noob students. Boxing is not a complete art, but its never claimed to be. Unlike WC, boxing does not hide behind tradition and its always open to evolution as can be seen with the different styles of boxers over the decades. Other combative arts like Muaythai and BJJ also do not hide behind traditions and excuses
