This was one of the most emotional duels in the show, and easily the most anxiety inducing. Watching Yuya struggling against Zarc's influence, the overall desperation, the heartbreak at having to sacrifice the last memory of his now dead father when he was forced to discard Smile World, the thoughts about everyone that he cares about and is fighting for, Yuri's sadistic, hammy insanity, and the tragedy of Yuya failing to fight off Zarc at the last second purely because Reiji made a mistake with his choice of words. Season 3 of Arc V had a lot of really shoddy execution that didn't do the show's amazing premise justice (if only the show had time to split the final Season in two, and had approached things differently such as giving the Bracelet Girls and other characters better treatment after Season 2), but it still had its great moments individually, and this is definitely one of my favorite duels.
It would've been so much better, had they all joined together to Seal Yuri alone. At that Point, Zarc wouldn't exist, and the rest of Yuya's "Soul Parts" would be able to live on with their own lives.
Because, Rush duels now exists. Konami want the game to get faster and faster, much like their Greed. The game needs to be as braindead as possible, so Kids can understand it.

I don't blame them at all for trying to "fix" it, hell it's better than writing a fanfic getting a ship to fuck eachother that makes no sense.
Man serena was such a good character and got wasted as hell..., also in the end Kurosaki lost everything and his end was just "deal with it", i really love arc v but everyone who loves it must admit could be far better

What’s worst about this duel is that the outcome didn’t really matter because Z-Arc was going to be revived regardless of who won or lost. Either Yuya wins and becomes Z-Arc (as shown here) or Yuri does. It was a zero sum game at this point, they couldn’t do anything which was fucking sad. Declan saying “Just focus on winning Yuya!” CLEARLY didn’t help as that only instigated it (which wasn’t his fault, bc he didn’t knew that would be the trigger to set Z-Arc off but still).
Not exactly. Not wrong! but not quite right. One of the reasons they had a chance against Z-Arc and eventually to bring joy to Layra was that Yuya won this duel. Otherwise Z-Arc would've been lead by the Yuri part of his soul and afterwards, even if they beat him, it would've been Yuri who was awakened in the new world, who had no way to prevent Z-Arc from returning. Why continuos trap card dragon creeping plant can take XYZ dragon despite it using Rank instead of level? Is that mean even if Odd Eyes isn't there, Yuri still can take XYZ Dragon since it doesn't have level in the begin with?
The trap can take any dragon type monster as long as the monster is not the highest level on the opponent’s field. Because Odd-Eyes has the highest level on Yuya’s field, Dark Rebellion is an applicable target. This trap wouldn’t work if the opponent had only one monster.
I check Timegazer's anime pendulum effect. It is: Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Trap Card that targets exactly 1 Pendulum Monster you control (and no other cards) is activated: You can negate the activation, then Set that card face-down instead of sending it to the Graveyard. And, "Predaprouting" effect does not target.

Arc-V is sort of an anniversary season. So they brought back characters from other seasons. The major antagonists are the duel academy which is now lead by Leo Akaba. Edo/Aster is a student there and lead the attack against the Xyz dimension. That is until he was defeated by Yuya and changed sides after being shown the error of his ways. Asuka/Alexis was also a student, but she defected from the academy and worked under Yuya's father to create a rebel faction to defeat the academy in the fusion dimension. But Alas, they were all defeated by Yuri.
Yugo was as obsessed with anger as Yuri so if they helped him Yuya would have to fight against Yugo because he is the alterego of Zarc. Whichever way you turn the end of Arc V would be the same in my opinion.

わりと強キャラ感あったユーリが最後のターンにここにきて場の状況や攻撃力を計算できてないのがなんだかなってかんじやった
この時のユーリはめちゃくちゃ調子に乗ってるのと、オッドアイズの効果を「君のドラゴンにできるのはその程度なんだw」ってめちゃくちゃ舐め腐って完全に眼中に無かったせい

You need to watch all season to understand cuz this is almost the end of Arc V
Arc-V is sort of an anniversary season. So they brought back characters from other seasons. The major antagonists are the duel academy which is now lead by Leo Akaba. Edo/Aster is a student there and lead the attack against the Xyz dimension. That is until he was defeated by Yuya and changed sides after being shown the error of his ways. Asuka/Alexis was also a student, but she defected from the academy and worked under Yuya's father to create a rebel faction to defeat the academy in the fusion dimension. But Alas, they were all defeated by Yuri.

The duel is nice but I still found it stupid Kaito and Edo attacked Yugo instead of helping Yugo beat Yuri was pretty dumb.
Yugo was as obsessed with anger as Yuri so if they helped him Yuya would have to fight against Yugo because he is the alterego of Zarc. Whichever way you turn the end of Arc V would be the same in my opinion.
@@Shadowzilla357 True but they can snap them out of it like how Yuya reminded Yuto to remember how he makes people smile with his dueling. Same with Yuya and how Reiji and the others snapped him out of the trance when he was going to join in their chant of becoming one.
@@krampusapprenticeofdarksan7870 Maybe they could but again that for example Yugo beat Yuri, how would Yugo react when he saw Rin as the professor sacrificed her together to Ruri, Yuzu and Serena. Yuya and Yugo would go crazy because the professor would "force" and continue what he thinks is good to destroy them. It could end in many ways but again this is ok for me.
