What a beautiful song of Jesus' love for us!!! His death and resurrection paid it all. He takes us as we are and then molds us into what He and God desires us to be--by the Holy Spirit all in love!!!! I sure wish it was easy to forgive ourselves as Jesus is to forgive us!!! We often see the pain that is left behind us. That is very hard. I have been trying for 30 years to forgive myself. I know I am forgiven. It is a battle that the devil wants to win---he won't. I just bring it to the Holy Spirit and I know God will have the victory!!! I am chronically ill and home bound which makes it hard being alone so much of the time---I put on my spiritual Armor everyday and stay in the Bible--I have known Jesus most of my life. I am so thankful!!!!
Betsy, I, too, am disabled & have been since 1989. My husband died 2 years ago & I understand your loneliness. People wonder why you don't go out & find friends. That's hard to do when you find walking difficult. I play my music, pray & I stream First Baptist of Atlanta which has helped me a lot. Like I said on my Facebook comment, before I gave my life to Jesus and be one his followers, I've always thought that going to church is for perfect people, people who lives a perfect lifestyle, they have this and that. That was something that holding me back. This song, really, is a great reminder for me, daily that I have to come to God for who I really am. Yes I'm not perfect.
