Thank you so much for the great tutorial! I've got a question tho, when I do 14:51 Scale It Down, seems like only whole solid pipe scale up and down, not like you did(holding diameter), Does anyone have a same problem?
It sounds like you have the curves AND the pipes selected. And now that you have scaled the pipes, history is broken for them. Delete the pipes (don't delete the curves). Select the curves and pipe them again. Then make sure you have ONLY the curves selected when you scale down. Let me know if this helps.
@@webduncetv thank for the prompt respond. I did what you have told me to, but there is something missing. Now the curves only scaled :-p Maybe there is another setting....?
@@파국의코치 It sounds like either record history or update history are turned off. Type "History" into the command line, and make sure RecordHistory=Yes and Update=Yes. If they say "No", just click on them and they will turn to "Yes". Let me know if this helps.
@@webduncetv I didn't expect to get another comment :) Thank you and YES, you were right. The solution was RecordHistory ! I will keep watching and practice :) !!
Hi. Scaling only the lines is how I intend it to work for the tutorial. If you want to also scale the pipes, you will need to also select the pipes before scaling (you can just draw a box around the lines and pipes to select them all). If you scale the pipes, though, just keep in mind that you will no longer be following the tutorial. So, you will probably end up with different results.
I was just going through my comments again, and I now I wonder if you mean the pipes are not scaling when you scale the lines. If that's the case, I think History is off. You can type History into the command line and make sure that RecordHistory = Yes and Update = Yes. And please let me know if that worked for you.
I'm glad you liked it. And, yes, it seems I'm kind of slow in making the tutorials (making the objects is not too difficult, but explaining everything is...at least for me).
hi, i need help because at the point of scaling the braids in 18:58, when i try to scale it down to close the gap, the scaling wont work and i will never close the gaps the way it does that to you how did you perform the scaling action? or did you use some commands like control alt or something like that? thx a lot
Hi. I hold shift down while scaling. This makes the scaling equal in all directions. If you don't hold down shift, it only scales in one direction. Let me know if that works for you.
@@davidguglielmo1177 It sounds like "record history" is off. Type "history" into the command line and press enter and make sure Record=Yes. If Record=No, then click on it to change it to Record=Yes and then hit enter. Then you will have to delete the pipes since those pipes were made without history. Then re-pipe the curves. The new pipes should scale with the curves then. Let me know if this helps or not.
Oh, I just commented on the other video and I just found the solution to my question here. hahahahhaha Thank you!! It's a great video. =)
Nice tutorial. Thank you for breaking this up into chapters!😀

@@webduncetv I tried but it will not scale the object, only the curve that generated the 3D object
