Yay! Have been waiting for this all the way from Australia. This is the best health show on TH-cam. Shane is the bomb! So many incredible guests with practical tips. And you always ask the questions we are all thinking. Thank you for helping make the world a healthier and better place Gillian 🙏
I loved that sentence in the beginning, that we have to go from survival to thriving and that we do not need to compromise any longer. I have been thinking of this a lot before. I mean, our ancestors went through so much, having had no choice, to spread out on this earth and make it habitable. They payed for it with their health and lives. I think the greatest honor would be, now that we can, to eat the best foods for our human bodies. If we keep eating survival foods, it is like all their suffering was in vein! Sometimes I picture our ancestors in "heaven", looking down to us, shaking their heads and saying:" Those fools! We have sacrificed so much for them, in order for them to eat well, and they have not gotten the message. They are stuck still in the survival mode and hung on to them, forming bad habits and addictions".
Many people in the United States are still in survival mode. Moreover, some countries even in Europe don't have such abondance of various fruits and vegetables year around and many cannot afford to buy them. Just feel blessed if you are not in their position and can afford to experiment with your body and health.
Thank you Gillian! Love you and Shane and also love hearing from other raw vegans on what they eat in a day gives me so many new ideas. Happy holidays to you!❤❤❤
I have been following you and Shane, joined his RVH group, and still couldn’t find quite the inspiration or motivation until this video! Now it’s only been two days but already I see major improvements! Today is day three and my green smoothie is about to go down my gullet! I love you both! Thanks for this amazing interview! I was slacking on the greens and doing more fruitarian eating but whoa. I need the greens and I can tell and I am stoked to make these green smoothies! Thanks thank thanks!!
Thank you for interviewing. The macronutrient answer about satiety was helpful with 65% glucose, 20% fatty acids, and 15% amino acids. I have learned eating more vegetables is eating healthier. Take care🥗
I've just made a lovely tomato, pepper salad earlier and I wanted to add olive oil and my body said NO. Thank you so much for all the advice, guidance and wisdom! Especially for mentioning flax seed oil! This will be another new addition for me too. Thank you Gillian and Shane! 💚🔋🌱
The salad he made is kinda similar to Erewhon's white bean avocado kale salad. It's soooo good. It's basically greens of choice, seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower, and hemp and then a Dijon-lemon dressing. I've never tried it with Nori, but I will!. The hemp and pumpkin seeds are what provide the most protein.
I like the nori burrito idea!! Is there a way to make the nori 'crispier?' I had a hand roll recently for some veggie sushi, and the nori was super crisp and more enjoyable.
I don't use any milks in my smoothies either... used to but the taste is better in my opinion without. I have a suck blender, so I grind the flax with a coffee grinder right before and then blend into smoothie and works great.

I don’t eat grains but I do have sweet potatoes and other vegetables and legumes, soaked, cooked, with kombu, and steamed veggies in the evening, I live in the mountains, being all raw would be very hard and not focused on local and seasonal produce enough
I do the same thing with my salad at night and with the Nori! I mash an avocado into all of it with the hemp seeds… then stir in micro greens - or use them as a topper… And I usually use the Vitamix spatula to add a ‘schmeer’ of raw tahini to the Nori… pile on the mashed greens… And then add a little line of raw Kraut… OMG! It’s my fave! So glad to be in the kitchen with you guys… Have been waiting for this video for weeks! Would love to see more in the kitchen with Shane… Some of his other salads and dressings that he makes… Does he usually drink the smoothie before work out? I wasn’t clear on that… and if he does… Is the juice and blueberries his post workout? Thank you thank you, Gillian and Shane!! Blessings!…🙏❤️🤗

Not all people react to oxalates in foods. If they were the problem, ALL people would react to them. Especially as they are in practically ALL natural foods/fruits/veggies. I believe oxalates may only be bothersome when dealing with poor gut health, and weakened HCL (stomach acid). When our gut flora is healthy and stable, it has no problem processing oxalates, histamine etc.
Thank you for your excellent reply. I wonder if the oxalate scare might be cooked up (no pun intended) by the meat indu$try to make us afraid of eating vegetables and salads?
@ You’re so welcome! And I also believe we are made sick by the food industry etc. When walking into an average supermarket, what we see is one rather small part with fruits and veggies, and ALL THE REST is filled with processed and industrialised foods. As long as people get sick, they are big pharma’s best clients. Yet humans are made to eat fresh and healing foods. That is what we thrive on.

He adds banana and dates to all his moring smoothies. He said alot of times he'll do berry smoothies, he does fruit at lunch and in his green juice. He said he snacks on fruit throughout the day and sometimes does only fruit for dinner so sounds like he eats alot of it!
@Fruitful_Mind0 I noticed when people start adding lots of fats they tend to lower fruit and then they lower overall calories to balance out the high fat and then they start intermittent fasting and that's when things go down hill .
One minute into his first smoothie recipe we're sunk in a deep soup of ultra processed supplements entirely novel to human beings. You just can't take Shane Sterling seriously.

Any advice for someone wanting to do this? I eat yogurt once a day and sardines once a week but want to stop at 100 percent. First, does he eat nuts? I eat a lot of walnuts, pistachios or macadamia nuts or olive oil as all of these give me at least 500-600 calories a day combined. I would have to eliminate a lot of calories. Second, I’m a 5 10” male. How can I eat 2100-2200 calories a day eating like this? That’s just to maintain 159 lbs as I’m very active by running or walking 15000 plus steps a day.
When you’re doing a 40 day juice fast to fix the gut are there certain juices and ingredients you must use each day so that you don’t harm your health and does he tell you that or is there a juice that you buy from him that he tells you exactly?

Would love to see a blood lab from Shane, he's doing double the fat recommended by the top vegan doctors (Ornish etc) wonder if he has any insulin resistance or LDL etc issues
I love my healthy free to forrage foods like Nettles and dandilion and hazulnuts, horsetail herb, mushrooms and lychens
Huge cancer fighting benifits and memory boosting and vitality
Raw vegan is a habit I want
I'm vegan but not cooking food is new to me
I really like the raw seaweeds
Great video 🥰❤️.
I’m waiting on the video where you interview Dr. Brooke Goldner and her husband, is that coming soon?
hey yes it's coming soon...should go up within the next couple weeks..have been a bit behind was looking after some family at my house for a month
WOW!!!! At first site I thought he was in his early 20's
Look amazing, Shane make a lot burritos 🌯 4 for me too 😆
great video thanks
That was great. Thanks for the video.🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can see the value in raw vegan but man I love making mineral rich sipping broths as a part my vegan diet!
can i also make a juice fast if i'm underweight? If so, for how long?
are flaxseeds soaked?
I don't think he soaked them no
@ thanks would imagine his stomach is strong 💪
When you’re doing a 40 day juice fast to fix the gut are there certain juices and ingredients you must use each day so that you don’t harm your health and does he tell you that or is there a juice that you buy from him that he tells you exactly?
I think he focuses on the lemon ginger blast and also citrus
@ so I would just do those all day long
I’ve been raw carnivore, it’s nice to see others also like to eat raw.
That's a 90% fat diet 😂 that Doug Graham describes in his book 801010.
Fruit prob raises the hematocrit too much on the TRT 😂
I love you guys :))
we love u
