Shawn is an old school wrench. He still criss-crosses lugs. And uses loctite on wheel adapters.

Yup Shawn!, the lock tight is super important, without it, those spacer nuts need to be re tightened every time you change a tire, easy to forget to do, or convince yourself it's not necessary.

Bora wheel spacers specifically say not to use loctite on their adapters.

The problem with running boards and Rock Sliders on a daily driver is they can build up mud on dirt roads. When you have to get in and out multiple times per day, your pant leg can brush up against the accumulated mud each time you get in or out.

Make sure you buy hub centric wheel spacers! Its alot safer! And torque them down with some locktight

You guys ever try the boots on your rod ends? I have them on the rear toe arms on my car and they seem to work good. Was thinking about using them on my 4x4 build as well.

What kind of air filters you guys use to deal with sand? Out of all the Utah channels - you guys, Robby, Matt, Paul, Holly - I never see anyone running pre-filters or socks or anything, yet none of your motors blow prematurely or really have any problems

I have been using adapters on my old ZJ’s for ten years, with the same ‘99 wheels, people always say it is dangerous, have not had one problem. Knock on wood🤷♂️

You sold beadlockers because you don't wheel so don't need them. Then you bought adapters and fitted different beadlockers.
Big knobby tires are very noisy going down the highway .....
0nly downfall of that style of adapter is it doesnt have the centric ring like the hub bearing does they can get lose easily just be sure to check torque's lol

Considering what those off-road vehicles are made for, could you not rehabilitate the heim joint with a press and some strategically located center point die marks, expand the metal around the hole? Just reduce the clearances around the center spherical bearing a little.

big rig road service guy the can patch that tire, dont call TA, you need the guys in the pick-up trucks covered in grease. they will patch for you.

the internet people say that spacers are bad, you guys ever have problems with them?
I think the answer is that it depends. On any stock independent suspension it increases stresses on mainly pivot points and bearings. On vehicles designed to carry loads down the highway it over stresses wheel studs. On off-road vehicles that are running huge tires, trail riding, and rock crawling the spacers are a non issue.
Wheel spacers are fine as long as you torque then down then re check again after driving a little bit.

I've always had issues with them I mean who wants to keep tightening lug nuts everyday or worry bout it goin 75 on a highway
Some spacer and especially some adapter designs are really pretty sketchy. Some are stronger than the wheels attached to them. It all depends. I wouldn't use something like a five to six lug adapter that's less than an inch thick, but a 2" spacer wouldn't worry me.
Hey shawn i used to use those adapters and i come to find adapters are terrible. Of u look at the design you'll see you're putting all that weight on studs that are pretty much just floatin in the air
