Hobby should have been $250ish, and these should be $125ish. Panini was just waiting for any QB to play well so they could jack up prices. In the end, the demand meets the price, but I just can’t do it. You’re right though. Still a fun rip! The seismics looks awesome.
They’re funny. Also I think I have a cheat code for Phoenix. The parallels are so cheap that you can buy a Stroud numbered parallel for less than half the cost of one H2 box. Just tell your friends you pulled it 😂
Topps is def all time. Panini has the license for basketball and football until 2025 and 2026. Then Topps takes over. As far as best basketball value boxes I'd say TMall Asia boxes are the best.
I can get an H2 box for about $200 based on where I'm gonna buy it from. You think $200 is still a little high, and maybe wait for that to come down some more?
@@huxbux Yeah most of the videos about Phoenix H2 spell doom and gloom. Went out and grabbed a Phoenix Hobby today - safe to say was pretty pleased. Had a Zay Flowers Auto 06/20 and a case hit - Phoenician Stefon Diggs. Got pretty close to my moneys worth overall. So glad I went with the hobby box.
Glad to hear you got these for the a half way decent price. They are beautiful cards but the value is rough! I believe the box break buy ins are greatly affecting these prices. Panini knows collectors/flippers can get great pulls at a fraction of the price. I’m even considering sticking strictly to box breaks cus this is truly a wealthy man’s hobby and the return value is terrible. Just terrible. Or maybe I’ll just go back to collecting bottle caps 🤷🏻♂️

@CromCards I feel you. And I appreciate the recognition that to buy singles, wax has to be ripped. That concept is lost on a portion of hobbyists.

Too expensive. Phoenix H2 in 2022 were selling for just above $100 after release. Stroud or no Stroud I can't recommend a 2023 box at that price.

Buy singles is the only sensible way to enjoy this hobby if you don't have expendable income. I think breaks are worse than buying boxes personally.

Box 1 was definitely better and the cards as a whole look great, just not $300 great. It's a shame what panini is doing with their pricing.
I'm not privy to how product gets priced but it feels like the 3rd party sellers are dictating price as much or more than Panini.

There's patch autos in Phoenix. The fillers make it so you can't pack search for them.

Sure does. I don't mind it for low end sets whose single don't carry value to begin with. But h2 should be $100 boxes.

It seems Panini can't hold onto anything nice. Monopoly isn't the same as last year and clearly from your video neither is this.
They've got this year and next to squeeze as much as they can out of that NFL license. And they sure are.
