High End Home Decor Look For Less | Quick and Easy Thrift Flip | Budget Friendly High End Look

Today I’m back with with another high end home decor look for less. I’ve got two quick and easy thrift flip that are inspired by Magnolia Home. These two trash to treasure DIYs are quick and easy and budget friendly and will help you get the perfect farmhouse look in your home.
My first project is making over a small bud vase that I got for just 90 cents at the thrift store. The ridges were very similar to the ridges in a magnolia home piece so I thought I’d try to duplicate the look. I used the mineral color by waverly and then blended the colors plaster and elephant with a baby wipe to give it dimension. This was super quick and easy but gave the vase the look of stoneware which is on trend now.
My second project is making over two bottles left over from a sea glass diy. I duped the bronze look of another magnolia home piece using a spong painting technique. The base coat is black and the top layer is a mix of copper and gold metallic paints from plaid/folkart.

Nice to meet you, Ruth! Thanks so much for watching! I’ve used this paint technique before on a few different projects…it’s definitely my favorite technique to achieve that stoneware look. My favorite was a fondue pot that I turned into a succulent planter! I want to try the same technique with a dark gray as the base…I think it might look like concrete!
