2042 has had a scoreboard the entire time, it's just that the original had a different layout than we were accustomed to. With that being said, what they eventually landed on is far better and it's honestly one of the better BF scoreboards. The only thing it's missing is showing each player's rank, but tracking (among other things) ribbon progression, K/D/A, revives, resupplies/heals, flag captures, and your overall score... it's pretty extensive.
7 hours later and they have already fixed the black scope, and nerfed the smoke and smokescreen duration and radius that Broken Machine "complained" about. Kudos to that team. They are actually listening. Another thing that DICE failed to do, at least on time.
During the BF4 beta I messaged DICE that the iron sight was missing from the M4/M16 when using red dot sights. It was added a few days later during the beta. Also, I made a comment on Battlelog for DICE to tell EA to fck off and use their recourses to fix all their bugs with community feedback, a couple months later we got the CTE(Community Test Environment). So someone there was listening back in the day. They probably left to work on The Finals

Yeah and worst than that, it's a East Asian F2P with less bad microtransactions than 60-80€ CoD or BF. The two battlepass (Extraction & Conquest) cost 9€ together and that is equal or even less grindy i would say than BF and CoD.

Is this broken mouse input something everyone has? I've been playing fps games my whole life. I get annoyed by the most minor input lag. Yet i didn't have any problem with aiming in BF2042. Makes me wonder if those issues only affect certain people
From a Battlefield Lover ,Did you lose your mind ? what are you talking about ? Though its beta but in terms of performance you can't even compare it with BF2024 latest update (Last Tuesday) simply because: 1- This Beta has no Net code issues like BF series famous problem since a decade. 2- This Beta has no hit reg which is BF best friend ever. 3-This Beta has better weapons customization than BF2024 after 3 years . 4-This Beta has better map design than BF2024 5- This Beta has better matchmaking system than BF2024 which is broken up to date. I can go on and on but i think this much is more than enough to let you stop thinking playing BF2024.
levelcap is rather dismissive toward Delta Force when this game is clearly more polished than the BF2042. He is giving too much credit for DICE on their originality when lots of their animations and styles in BF2042 was copied from MW2019.
its a bit understandable tho, no one likes seeing the game franchise they grew up with and even built a career out of wither and die like a poisoned animal and its hard to not resent the "replacement" on at least some level, especially when the old franchise teases you with new potential hope "right around the corner"
I don’t care if it’s a clone it’s more battlefield than anything dice has made in a long time, haven’t had a single bug yet. Lots of great fun battlefield gameplay, fun maps & the near future shit hasn’t been too much to be gross. I’m stoked on it & it’s free.
I'll be honest, it feels incredibly refreshing to have a game that just fucking works at launch. For me at least, it runs wonderfully on Ultra settings, which is more than can be said for the last set of CoD releases, and particularly BF2042. The gunplay feels surprisingly tight, and the weapon animations are absolutely superb. Compared to 2042, just the action of shooting at players just "feels" better. Dice's recent games just feel so floaty, with very little tangible feedback. Nothing feels stiff or janky in DF, and the animators were clearly given the time and flexibility to get the game looking and feeling as good as possible. The operators are... fine. The flavour definitely screams "Korean/Chinese developed military fps". As you said, very melodramatic and somewhat cartoonish, and the women of course are all supermodels, rocking the legendary "Tactical midriff" Overall though, absolutely happy with it considering it's free.
It would have been a BF killer if they copied BF3 classes and damage models and added in BF4 customization. It's what the community has wanted for over a decade. If they really wanted to poopoo down the neck of dice, add BF3 destruction/notable map movement and added BF4 DMRs as "SPRs" with 1 shot headshots/3 shot body shots/AR ballistic trajectory. But what do I know? I've just been playing the games about as long as every other bad company fan...
1 shot headshot with DMR's would make snipers pointless unless the snipers are a 1 shot body shot, which unbalances everything. Unless you base the entire damage model off of BF4 hardcore, which honestly worked better than normal in that game imo. (.45 handguns weren't pointless in hardcore!)
@IWLGaming it wouldn't invalidate sniper rifles if you appropriately add advantages and limitations to different classes of weapons. You could also limit the distance that the 1 shot headshot occurs. BF3 covered all engagement distances, but BF4 had gaps. SMGs should be your 0-25 guns with AR damage that drops off past 25-50m, but low recoil/high ROF to make up for that. Shotguns should be 0-50 with obvious limitations/exceptions given ammo/choke choice. ARs/Carbines should dominate 25-150 with 5-7 shot body 3 shot head damage and the damage drop off happening after 200m. SPRs and automatic rifles would cover 50-300 with both of them splitting the difference between ARs/DMRs and ARs/LMGs accordingly with damage, bloom, hip fire accuracy, and suppression (which was peak in BF3). The damage drop off would occur at 300-400m. DMRs and LMGs would dominate 50-500 while static if you copy BF3 damage models from BF3 and tweak LMG bullet drop/velocity by improving both about 20%. Damage drop off would start at 500-600m. Sniper rifles would be the domain of 100-1000m, especially if you increased the speed of their projectile by about 30% from BF4 and gave them exclusive access to the zero adjustment feature from BF4. At the end of the day, BF3 saw every type of weapon being used relatively evenly while BF4 was bogged down by carbine Meta. If the weapon ballance/damage models were set up this way, you'd see the return of different squads taking up different roles. I miss seeing that my team had an anti-air gap, or an area denial gap and working with my squad to fill that gap. That died in BF4 because practically everyone was running around as a recon/support with a carbine. Your AT and AP were handled in 3 of the classes. Recon should do recon and be AP. Support should be your supply and be your AP area denial. I wouldn't take away their C4, but I wouldn't make it as good as SLAMs or mines for AT, and I'd take away those stupid trip wires from the claymores. Engineer should be capable of holding off infantry until they get support, but their primary focus should be vehicles. Operation, area denial, and destruction. If you wanted to push them into breaching as well, I wouldn't be opposed. Assault should be your medic, and your primary assaulting force against other infantry. I would keep the med bag/med kits from 4 though.
To be honest, Black Hawk is killing themselves too. If you play this franchaise since crappy computer era, you will notice that this game is a far-cry from the original intention.
If you copy a game, then release yours in better state with more features and make it free with a cheaper battlepass, it's definitely more Killer than Clone.
The thing that baffles me is that, of all the games to copy, why Battlefield 2042? Not BC2, 3 or 4, or even elements of 1 and 5 in a modern package, why SPECIFICALLY 2042? The one that is fundamentally busted from the concept up? Everyone hated specialists, did you think making their designs more busy and futuristic and their voice acting more shit would somehow make us like the game more? This just reminds me of Xdefiant. All this talk from former BF youtubers about how it's the BF killer and yet all I see is BF's worst entry with the serial numbers filed off. Christ, we even have Enders being Temu brand Blametruth over here. And it'll probably go the same way as Xdefiant, too. If this lives to see the release of BF6 or whatever it's called, whether that game is good or bad, it will be a miracle.
idk how long the game will last, but it's got a much better chance than xdefiant, I believe it's one of the first extraction game on console and mobile, and maybe the first battlefield-like game on mobile. I reckon it can be popular in Asia
I had mentioned on several occasions on various videos and threads that I thought XDefiant was DOA, although in retrospect it took six months for it to start down that path (servers being shut down in June of 2025). I have since adjusted my expectations for Delta Force accordingly and I expect that it'll last maybe 6-12 months, possibly being fully sunset by 18 months from today. I can't really say that it's the same in each case, but these "alternative" FPS games just can't seem to hack it in the long run. I mean, how many have come and gone in the last handful of years? Slipgate, WW3, Battlebit (effectively on life-support at this point), Shatterline, Gundam Evolution, Concord (counting it, even if it was just a flash in the pan existence), etc., etc. I don't have any reason to think Delta Force won't end up among them.
@@canman87 I imagine part of it is because the live service games industry is just straight up unsustainable. The market's calcified, to the point where even games that are good are having trouble. Now, it's less about forming your own playerbase, and more about taking them from an existing game, and that isn't sustainable long term, especially if you're out here competing with IPs so old they can legally drive. Alongside that, once you get past the honeymoon period, these games come with their own issues, like a lack of support or invasive anti-cheat or being a Ubisoft game. I wanted to like Delta Force. I really did. But F2P 2042 is still 2042, with remixed takes on the same crap framework
@@chigga-chan Yeah, fair point. It might just keep a niche fanbase on those platforms, especially Operations. That's just straight up Tarkov on console and mobile, platforms that don't really get anything nearly as hardcore.
What? You have the classes. Support, Assassin, Medic... each of them is limited so you actually have team work. People were healing me, I was throwing smokes. It is good
I think you nailed my feelings playing the beta. Sure, it felt like a cool combo of CoD style weapon animation with Battlefield style gameplay but there was this feeling it was still missing something.
@@nocturnalsonder I just honestly can't stand the the limited selection of characters with specific abilities. I just find it ridiculous. Why we can't just customize a character from the ground up is beyond me.
How is nobody talking about their KERNEL SPYWARE anticheat ACE. Same as vanguard and other Tencent owned games and anticheats. All chinese spyware stealing information and uploading to chinese servers or american proxy/VPN servers to then send to chinese servers. We talking about everything from screenshots of entire PC including apps runnings, apps runnings information, keystrokes (that combine with screenshots and apps runnings, they will be able to know your passwords and USERNAMES), and everything runnings in your computers memory. Sure they do work, but how do we know a chinese guy working on maintenance or other job there isn’t making tons of money selling this user/players data or for other own personal gains. It only takes one bad actor in their end to obtain sensitive information. This would go in history as the most powerful and effective computer virus/spyware since the I Love you computer virus. It’s insane to me that everyone is ok with this spyware installed on their computer in the name of protection. Its like allowing the government to live inside of your house and room to protect you from robbers and expect everyone working in the government to act accordingly and within their boundaries and not used the information they find on your house against you or use it to spy on you. Ever wonder why all games by Tencent look the same and play the same AND FREE. To steal your information 😂😂
I've been playing this game for the past 2 days. One thing I really love about this game is the gunsmith. The gunsmith really hits a spot in my soul that I never had before with any arcade shooters that I've played before. I really hope future games would use this kind of gun customization.
As if that bar isn't nearly touching the floor as it is. The one thing I always wanted was a knock-off of the worst Battlefield game we've seen to date. Hard pass for me dawg. Let's be real here, both games blow.
BF1 had a poor as hell launch (including our beloved netcode issues), in fact, it has launched better than any battlefield ever did, you can go back all the 20 years and all of the launches had more flaws than the new Delta Force which isn't even considered fully released yet but is calling itself public beta ironically enough.
Yeah, bf1 had a little bit of a rocky launch and a lot of hate by some but looking back at it it was a great game. Have some great memories playing, met a couple really good friends playing too.
One thing I like about delta force is how easy it is to level weapon attachment unlocks I got 2nd in the entire lobby and my gun went from level 19 to level 31 lmao and there's exp tokens you can use too in the menus. That default AR is almost maxxed already after half a day of play I hope it stays like that. there's a lot of guns and i wouldnt want to grind them very slowly
Couldn’t disagree with your comparisons more if i wanted. Idc what the game looks like, it’s about how it plays and this game is actually fun and doesn’t focus on what devs “think” will make the game better, but what we actually want. Kernel level anti cheats will become the standard soon and already are very prevalent in the triple A space with shadier operation than this game as this games AC doesn’t run if the game isn’t. I have a mid tier graphics card and get insane performance, I’ll definitely be supporting this one
@MrSilk13642 No it is better. It works well on lunch, better gunplay, fun, and it has a well amount of content to start things up. For example df lunch with 50+ guns but 2042, only 22. So yeah it is better like or not.
@@foisal4656 Bro, the gunplay is trash. You can head glitch worse than BF4 and the guns basically have zero recoil. It has less vehicles, less classes and less (and worse) maps XD

Why are we still getting hung up over this "clone" shit? Its a fun game and we dont have to watch AAA companies jerk off eachother for months for a new release schedule.
I see this as what 2042 should have been, and it feels amazing playing. Its free, it runs well for me, its populated, and its full of content. A win for me
A free online game that doesnt have significant server issues at launch. I think I'll play this guy and feed them a little money to continue the project, they are doing something right.
As a battlefield fan since 1942, DF absolutely blows 2042 out of the water. The gunplay is tight, the leaning adds just that extra bit of tactics to not be as bland, and the absolutely ridiculous amount of customizations you can do on the guns is insane. It may be a copy of a bunch of other more original games, but it simply does it better, and merging them successfully is in itself new
Those Chinese "clones" are actually getting technically good. Arena Breakout Infinite for F2P Tarkov and Delta Force for Battlefield. We're far from the F2P Korean clones like WarRock back in the 00s (which is still actually available on Steam lol).
DOES THIS GAME WORKS ON LOW END PC? YES DO THIS GAME LISTEN TO THE PLAYERBASE? YES DO THIS GAME HAVE MORE REAL PLAYERS THAN BOTS IN MATCHES? YES DO THIS GAME HAS BETTER MAPS THAN BATTLEFIELD 2042? YES IS THIS GAME FREE TO PLAY? YES DOES THIS GAME HAVE REAL WEAPON NAMES? YES ETC....
The DF is at least better than the 2042 and BFV, especially the weapon system, the SMG/assault rifle/DMR/sniper rifle balance is better done, and the modding system is better. The map design is also very good, overall a game with a lot of potential, my biggest complaint right now is the low tick rate of the servers.
This is just Tencent being Tencent. They don't 'create new experiences' or add value to existing genres; in their perspective, video games are just computer software for making money.
so far I'm enjoying this as a battlefield clone... I just kind of wish the Delta Force game was more of a Delta Force clone... you know... because Delta Force.
As someone who used to organize large scale competitive Battlefield events, I’d love to see them add a platoons/clan system and custom matches so community teams can go against one another
10:37 you can buy only the pass for the PvP mode, Exctraction mode or both depending in which you intend to play and complete. If you want to only play Warfare (pvp) mode you buy only that version of the battle pass and its 200 Delta Coins cheaper than the full battle pass
LevelCap instead of enjoying the game just cries that EA with a 200x bigger budget is slightly better in his opinion. Absolute clown. Game literally runs perfect, no fps dips at all. It's actually enjoyable, gun play is fun, not like battlefield.
its a bit clunky man. Everyone is right about ea releasing games at launch in a trash state. But after a couple updates it ran alright and still better than this.

This is the same thing I said when the alpha started. It's a fine free to play alternative to Battlefield, CoD, or Tarkov, but that's all it is. There is nothing unique to set it apart from its "inspiration", but I would love to see if they do anything about that down the road, if the game gets that far.

I think its amazing that a free to play game is making what once was a respected company like EA and DICE could not, even profiting on players. Lets see how they're gonna react to this.
Battlefield killed itself. Delta Force is a very fun polished game. Played it for like 5 hours now and it’s very fun. MUCH better than battlefield 2042 in literally every single way.
I am enjoying the game for sure, buttttt, when the hype is over it is not that overwhelming, or crazy compared to what other games are and or have done
The movement feels so clunky after playing the finals or cod or even BF. Cant vault over anything and jumping over obstacles works like 50% of the time for some reason. And only one class gets sliding? Just why?
This is a weird take. It's derivative but it's done well. The economy is good and from what they've said the anti cheat will be entirely different than what we've seen. Fog of War anti cheat? Even though you said some nice things it just sounds like a Codder review. If your framerate is dropping on this you have a potato and it's time to upgrade.
Hey Levelcap, how about you give your viewers an honest review of the game instead of spewing hate from day to day about this particular game. You stated yourself for several years that EA/Dice need competition in this area and now we have it… what do you expect? You can only do so much with a military shooter before it seems like it’s a copy/paste version of some developer... i think it’s safe to say that perhaps you are bought by EA for the amount of hatred over the last few months said about Delta Force.
Honestly, this game doesn’t play anything like 2042. It may have copied certain things, but the overall feel is very different. I honestly have enjoyed it a lot and weapon customization is top tier
I was genuinely excited for this game. It looked amazing. But now out of nowhere it looks and feels SO different. Far more arcade, fast. Characters and skins already look straight out of fortnite. I guess the only thing that appeals me in this game is the gun smith.
And I'm proud of not being a part of either of the 2 meme communities for the past 15 years. Next to complaining both communities can't do anything and haven't been taken serious in over a decade for obvious reasons.
For people complaining about the lack of inovation, plenty of games are extremely creative and new, but simply dont apeal to that many players. Being diferent doesnt mean good. Simply saying "this is like Battlefield and Tarkov", is a huge marketing buff for this game, as if it delivers, it will get a ton of players from both games.
True that, a lot of games have identity, originality, and is good but it just doenst pull many players because players always fall back on the mainstream title no matter how shitty their last game is.
Might be a clone but everything works pretty well and is honestly pretty awesome. I was hesitant to waste the ssd space as there's a lot of new games coming out, and I'm glad I took the jump. It definitely has some minor issues, but for a free to play game, that WORKS on launch, it's incredibly fun. I could be wrong but during some matches I got BFBC2 Vibes and on other maps I got almost Killzone 3 Multipayer vibes. It was really weird but it just felt like the flow of the game was similar to those on some maps. I have maybe 6 hours into it so far? And it feels really diverse and honestly fun. I HIGHLY recommend this game, it's free and pretty good fun. I definitely feel the urge to return to this game.
have thousands of hours in multiple BF games and some hundreds in COD. This is like the perfect hybrid that i've been looking for and the fact that it's free makes it for me the perfect game for this kind
I immediately had fun after downloading. Last time i had fun in a BF title was BF4, and that launch was brutal. It'll be interesting if Operations can satisfy my Tarky need.
Agreed on abilities and especially smokes, if your map design is bad then it should be fixed, don't just band-aid it with so much smoke you can barely even play the game. Headshots ought to make players nonrevivable, that should help with the revive spam.

Exactly. I tried to play BF2042 yesterday while waiting for this to release and couldn’t get the mouse to aim at all. It was a sign 🤣
This. Not enough people bring this up. Broken mouse input = unplayable. And 2042 has been unplayable for 3 years at this point. Unacceptable.
Is this broken mouse input something everyone has?

From a Battlefield Lover ,Did you lose your mind ? what are you talking about ? Though its beta but in terms of performance you can't even compare it with BF2024 latest update (Last Tuesday) simply because:
1- This Beta has no Net code issues like BF series famous problem since a decade.
2- This Beta has no hit reg which is BF best friend ever.
3-This Beta has better weapons customization than BF2024 after 3 years .
4-This Beta has better map design than BF2024
5- This Beta has better matchmaking system than BF2024 which is broken up to date.
I can go on and on but i think this much is more than enough to let you stop thinking playing BF2024.
On the point of weapons I saw a carryhandle m4 platform with the optic mounted on the carry handle. So I'm all in on this game now.
levelcap is rather dismissive toward Delta Force when this game is clearly more polished than the BF2042. He is giving too much credit for DICE on their originality when lots of their animations and styles in BF2042 was copied from MW2019.
I just like the Weapon modding in DF is unlike anything in the AAA fps scene
its a bit understandable tho, no one likes seeing the game franchise they grew up with and even built a career out of wither and die like a poisoned animal and its hard to not resent the "replacement" on at least some level, especially when the old franchise teases you with new potential hope "right around the corner"
I don’t care if it’s a clone it’s more battlefield than anything dice has made in a long time, haven’t had a single bug yet. Lots of great fun battlefield gameplay, fun maps & the near future shit hasn’t been too much to be gross. I’m stoked on it & it’s free.

It is 100% a BF killer.
Battlefield fans don’t want BF2042 lol, we have not been waiting for a 2042 clone.
We just need more competition in the marketplace. So I hope this game does well for more competition
It makes my Battlefield itch, itch more
I'll be honest, it feels incredibly refreshing to have a game that just fucking works at launch.
As you said, very melodramatic and somewhat cartoonish, and the women of course are all supermodels, rocking the legendary "Tactical midriff"
Overall though, absolutely happy with it considering it's free.
If only they copied BF3 or 4 they'd have a killer.
Yup with bf1 graphics n movement
Battlefield killed itself
To be honest, Black Hawk is killing themselves too. If you play this franchaise since crappy computer era, you will notice that this game is a far-cry from the original intention.
If you copy a game, then release yours in better state with more features and make it free with a cheaper battlepass, it's definitely more Killer than Clone.

@@StephenMcGregor1986 It has Forced TAA. Somewhat better implemented tho
Log off, go outside, touch grass.

It was really weird but it just felt like the flow of the game was similar to those on some maps. I have maybe 6 hours into it so far? And it feels really diverse and honestly fun. I HIGHLY recommend this game, it's free and pretty good fun. I definitely feel the urge to return to this game.
