You are wrong, Demat account is not required for investing in mutual funds and Demat will be required only if you are buying stocks or doing trading from your end. For investing in mutual funds, u can download any app as u mentioned and register with your pan and personal details. There is no guarantee in mutual funds returns, but as per my personal experience the returns are always higher than FD and you earn more if invested for long term. As u mentioned he gets his commission if u invest through him or any regular mutual funds plan for that matter. So always go for direct mutual funds while investing which has no commission or middle men and this increases your returns Better do some research before investing as well
