    Sir I have a old 2.0 that I've had for 7 years and original batteries too. I am waiting for it to break so I can buy a new one but it just keeps going it's awesome, I will never go back to gas never! I have several Worx's products now. 🤓

      That is awesome to hear! Mine runs very well and I really enjoy using it. It has cut my time in the yard by more than half. I also have a hedge trimmer, and a blower/vacuum mulcher. Excellent products all of them! Thanks for the comment Cye!😀

    Bought the GT 3.0 trimmer on Prime day for $84.00 and used it today. Did a great job doing the front stone wall and around my garden beds. Used 2 batteries and finally had to stop. It's cut some heavy grass and many weeds. Took about 8' of trimmer line to do this work. Will be winding my own trimmer line to keep costs down. Found an adapter to use Ryobi one+ batteries for under $20.00 on Amazon and have several of those batteries for my other Li-Ion tools, so I'll have plenty of batteries on hand. This trimmer didn't come with the spare spool holder, but Lowes had it with free shipping. Very pleased so far!

    You gave the best description I've seen for assembly and use of this tool. Literally, I put it together while watching you and went outside and got everything to work. It's a lightweight edger and trimmer and just what I needed. Normally I would get analysis paralysis when approaching something like this. You helped me to get through it in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you!

    Appreciate the review. The Amazon ad says it's only 6lbs. I like the fact that it can also be really short when not extended. I'm in a wheelchair and looking for something I could mostly use with one hand and this is looking like it might work given the weight and length when not extended.

    Why I like your review: 1. You don't repeat things. Once is enough. 2. You are the only reviewer that I've seen that actually demos the installation/setup/features/advantages/benefits. Case in point: the variable settings of the handle. You showed that it has several (7?) locking points. 3. Your editing was excellent. Part 1, Part 2, etc. Easy to follow. Not a lot of folderol. Questions: Do you use the Workx string, or do you purchase 3rd party .095 string. Their string/spools seem pretty expensive. Finally, does it come with a spool with string out of the box?Thanks!

      @ItsCoachMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Phil. Thanks so much for your comment. I’m glad it brought you some value.
      I’ve been using a line I bought at Lowes. I have bought the Shakespeare 200-ft Spool 0.065-in. It’s around $11.00. It’s lasted me since I made this video. It’s been a while so forgive me, because I cannot recall, but I want to say that it DID come with a pre-liner spool out of the box. Not sure if that’s the case any longer. I bought a a thicker gauge .085 string at the beginning but found it was to heavy and to thick to feed through the eyelet that is on the inside of the spool. The .065 works really well and allows for the automatic dispenser to function properly. Hope this helps.

    Great review! Just bought one. I’m very invested in my lawn, mowing every other day with my reel mower!
    I just edged and found the I kept needing to feed line almost constantly. It had trouble really getting down to the Bermuda runners along the ground.
    Did you see any of the same thing?

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep for sure. The string is low grade in my opinion. Now, I will say that after a few cuts the edger does such a consistent job that I don’t spend as much time and string as before . I’m fact, I would say I can edge now is a 1/3 of the time as compared to the first few cuts.
      Also, play around with the angle and length of the trimmer. I found that coming up and over the top of the trimmer head during edging allows for the string to line up and cut more grass vs sidewalk or concrete.
      Thanks for the feedback!👍🏻

    Bought this prior to your review. I am a totally clueless, 5'1", non mechanical person . I am thrilled with how easy it is to use! Sadly- I bought on Amazon and mine only came with one battery and no extra spools. WHich battery should I get as a second battery? ( I see there are 4.0 Ah batteries are they better? ) Also- I used up all my line already! Did I do something wrong? I have been looking for new line- and there are lots of people saying their line on the Worx products is wound backwards??? I want to purchase line that will last longer than 2 trips around the yard. Or is this just dreaming. Thank you!!! Clueless in Blacksburg VA

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi there. I would definitely get the 4.0 ah battery as it is going to provide you with longer operation time. The line they provided wasn’t of the highest grade so don’t feel bad if it’s all used up already. Are used mine up within about three cuts. You can buy any line really as long as it is correct size which I believe was a .065. The line will last longer as you become more comfortable using the tool Regarding what line to go with. You dan buy the word line again sure, I bought a product from Lowe’s call Shakespeare trimmer line. It was a 200ft roll of .065 for only $11.00. It’s working pretty well. As far as restringing the dispenser spool there is an arrow on the spool itself which indicates the direction the line should be wound. You want to start by inputting the beginning of the line through a small hole that is attached on the inside area of the spool. You will see it once you’re there. Then run the line in the direction of the arrow and then set the spool into the trimmer head itself according to its shape and design. Let me know if this helps and if you have any more questions. Thanks for your comments and feedback

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Based on what I have researched, a lithium-ion battery will last from two to three years.
      A lithium-ion battery’s lifespan is calculated by charging and discharging cycles. The typical lithium-ion battery has a lifetime of up to 2000 charging and discharging cycles. I have not had any issues with the automatic string feed but I haven’t had it long enough and I only use it 2x a month. Hopefully someone who has had one longer can share some insight of the longevity of this product. Thanks for the comment👍🏻

    I see the string is .065 should be a little stronger at least .080 for edging thats where you're going to to go thru it

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have been using .80 and for sure it’s definitely better. The only issue that I am encountering is the spool has a hole that allows you to insert the string through to begin wrapping it around .80 will not fit in this hole. It’s kind of a wash. The less amount of the stronger string last as long as the higher amount of weaker string. 👍🏻

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment. I’m happy to do a video update. But in the meantime, it’s held up well. I have had zero issues with it. The only thing I would advise if it’s even possible to request would be a second battery charger. I find that with two batteries and one charger it’s a game of periodically swapping batteries to the charger to keep them warm. Overall the run time is about the same I get about 20-25 minutes out of the first battery (or battery that’s been on the charger the longest) and about 15 -18 minutes on the weaker battery. The string spool has held up well and dispenses excellent. I did have to order some weed eater string as I had an entire spool from my previous (Husqvarna) that was .085 which was to thick but I made it work. Definitely needs 0.065 in order for it to dispense properly. The wheel can be a little bothersome sometimes as it can build up dirt so I need to do a better job of keeping it clean. But overall I’m really glad I bought it. Hope this helps

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Phil. I couldn’t find a blade instead it looks like they designed a hard corner (plastic) with a fine edge. It didn’t work well for me either so I bought a pack of replacement blades for my box cutter and was able to fasten it to the area with a screw and a little super glue. Lol. A bit of a rig but it worked. Also, make sure to use a string gauge of .065 or less. I found it allows the Command Feature to work best as well as overall Performance. Thanks for the comment. Good product but the locking head due to it being a plastic part. The plastic housing on the lock split itself apart now it won't stay locked in place. Not repairable and Worx does not have a replacement since the plastic housing split at the lock so I had to buy another one luckily it was on sale $59 for the trimmer only battery not included.

The spools probably weigh 'nothing'....and shipping for 'nothing' in weight at this price means you're paying for spools.....do you have an alternate place to purchase spools for this unit.....thank you

    When I push the string increase button the machine stops. Is this normal? How can this disperse string when not running?

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is normal. I’m not sure exactly how it does it but works. I’m assuming that the string spool shifts and allows for string slack and then centrifugal force pushes the string outward. Sometimes you have to press the button a few times to get it to the length desired.

    • @ItsCoachMike
      @ItsCoachMike  ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agree. But given the cost to have an independent line trimmer and an independent edger, the Word it is a better value IMO. Now, that being said, a medal blade on an edger will absolutely crush this thing..hands down. I had an echo edger back in the day and that thing was a beast. The Worx is a better trimmer than it is an edger mostly because of the lack of two string ends and the overall power. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
