I am from east india n I grew up watchig him on tv loved him in chennai vs china, time story, mass and now movies like Jai Bhim, Soorarai Potturu. He is a phenomenal actor also I havent seen him in a cliche south indian movie where its okay to harass girls and stalk them so massive respect for him for that.
It's impossible for a movie to not have any influence of history and culture on it. The language, dressing sense, and attitude is very much influenced by our history and culture whether its is functional or not.
I highly doubt any ancient European able to reach down south except for merchant through ship coz they can't afford to go war through Arabian sea forget about Indian Ocean

FYI this film aint pure historical non-fiction. This film took the ideas behind the historical actions that took place around 1500 years back and its a complete fantasy action fictional film, Might not have everything accurately to do with Indian History
