and still to this day he is fighting for the change he wants to see and is being labeled crazy. Those that can see as far as Kanye can in the future are always deemed crazy. Especially by those that have invested in the future remaining the same and having little change. Kanye is crazy. Crazy talented and should not be locked away. The world needs Kanye and his art. They dont need half the bullshit that uses power to prevent change.
#Auto _Kat I think people just hate the way auto tune is used today. No one could use auto tune like Kanye, T Pain, and lil Wayne could. Since Kanye kinda birthed this style in 808s he takes the blame for it although he does it phenomenally well
I think the masks that Kanye wears now in his Donda era is a reference to this performance and lyrics. Especially because he sings "i won't show my face in public" and "they told me, in six years ain't nobody gonna love me" and it's six years since this performance happened. But Kanye, we love you.
He’s actually commented on why he wears the mask. To paraphrase it’s because he feels like he might be doing something weird with his face and somebody takes a picture, or that someone will take a picture of him at a bad angle. Basically he feels insecure about his face so he covers it up. Pretty sad really
he's really messing with the crowd, at first, he has them all low and sad at his pinocchio story and then he turns it around and makes it a positive performance near the end like when he says he feels so much love tonight..he's a master at working with the crowds emotions with his lyrics and how impactful they are. that's how good art is ...it's supposed to make you feel something. really enjoyed this. Always proud to be a ye fan ..although i don't agree with some of the stuff that he puts out.. like 400 dollar teeshirts, ill always be a fan.
Rizwan Anwar where is he making $400 tee shirts though? they’re around $100 now, and with production and material cost he’s doing the best he can at this point. He wants to make clothes on the level of high fashion designers, which clothes run into the thousands
"Every profound spirit needs a mask; nay, more, around every profound spirit there continually grows a mask, owing to the constantly false, that is to say, superficial interpretation of every word he utters, every step he takes, every sign of life he manifests." - Friedrich Nietzsche
@@JamesTaylor117 they've been trying to get ye forever that's what this song is about. He's probably done things and made sacrifices for them. If you look at the song under the context of Kanye struggling to remain free despite the attempts to control him it makes sense.
I want the studio version as well but the live version acted out with the crowd adds another element to the story. The cheers in between lyrics are a constant reminder that he is constantly in front of an audience that he has to put on a show for. This version also adds the visual performance which speaks for itself. What a piece of art man..
yeah it's incredible because it also shows a sort of disconnect with some of the audience cheers while he's expressing incredible sadness and loneliness, I love that he kept the live version on the album
The absolute greatest performer of our generation. Even if someone wasn't a fan of his music, I feel like this video alone could show how much of himself he puts out there and the impact it has on everyone in that arena.
dasfoldingfive I’m not a fan of his music in the slightest in fact I don’t like it but this song is just so real and he pours his soul into it it’s great
Ever since his storytellers performance, I’ve noticed how he has such a knack for bringing in actual musical instruments and musicians to his tours. Such a brilliant artist.
Pinnochio's Story is such a moving piece of art. Ye rarely performs it, but when he does it's a moving moment for that entire crowd. It's insanely impressive how commanding Ye's presence is when he performs this ballad. A timeless act, accustomed only to water. It just flows and molds into whatever the artist is feeling. One of Ye's most beautiful pieces ever made.
The depth of Kanye's emotions resonates through the pain in his voice and the profound nature of his lyrics. I consistently assert that Kanye is a misunderstood lyrical genius. His life is undoubtedly intricate, and at times, he may display behaviors that seem out of character. However, what remains unequivocal is his unwavering authenticity and commitment to his beliefs. This authenticity is what inspires me and forms the basis of my admiration for him. Despite certain choices he has made, Kanye is undeniably a legend, a musical icon whose legacy will endure for generations. The trajectory of his career may have changed, but his enduring passion and dedication to music have remained steadfast. Truly, he is timeless.
Jerome Kudah honestly at least top 2 him and prince. But Kanye speaks to me even more. People don’t see this or they see something like this and don’t even understand how much depth there is in a performance like this. What he’s saying is beyond real
I don’t condone idolizing but Kanye is an inspirational person. His art is so powerful and his impact is out of this world. His way of expressing himself just helps others relate and feel less alone. Thank you Kanye.
Beautiful. Kanye is the type of artist that comes along once in a lifetime. He will go down as one of the greatest musicians/artists of all time, not just rapper.

@@hsucduwThe song is about how Kanye is no longer a “real boy” due to his immense fame and is now a spectacle for the public and a character on the TV. In the song this is proven through how the audience cheers over his freestyle crying for help. they do not hear his words and his cries but instead simply cheer because they are hearing a Kanye West freestyle.
I don't think I've ever heard any hip hop song ever give me chills until this one. His original freestyle was already legendary, the orchestra and these sounds just put it on a whole other level.

Kanye makes sure everything he does is art. Look at the stage. His costume. The musicians there. His performance. THe music. EVERYTHING OVER THERE IS ART.
I never appreciated this song until I heard and saw this particular performance, the string section really elevates the song's intensity, and there's something extremely evocative about him dressing as a scarecrow/puppet to deliver the lyrics, which are about a performer putting on a face for the audience and making them happy in spite of intense sadness. This is great. One of the great artists of our time, the world will truly stop when he passes
Why am I just now hearing this?!!! Such a beautiful, poignant, and powerful song. I love how even though there is a somber tone throughout, he still ends it with optimism and gets love in spite of it all. I keep coming back to this video. I like the Pinocchio theme.

Do you think this crowd realizes how lucky they were to witness this performance
I wish i was there 😭
This is so beautiful because after all the pain and sadness he shows he feels like he's nothing at times, a puppet! But when he's in front of the crowd he feels the love and it keeps him going!!
ZrS LeD shut the fuck up
come back here when I’m feeling down…
i get goosebumps as soon as he says "but i feel soo much love tonight". WHAT A PERFORMER!!!!!

Glad you're alive! God bless you!
Literally the best live performance of all time, across all genres, jesus christ.
It really is. If you say that though so many will say it’s Kanye there’s no way that’s true. It’s a damn shame people won’t give it a chance
I agree.
I absolutely agree. Definitely is the greatest rap performance ever but yes maybe even of all music genre's. I've never got chills from a hip hop song but this one is just so incredibly heartfelt you can't help but feel every bit of it in your soul. Just to think if it wasn't for Beyonce we wouldn't have even ever heard this masterpiece in the 808s album.
@@dramacidal6998 and without Beyoncés green light this song would’ve never achieved infamy and would’ve remained just a one off freestyle, but because it was on the album we got this performance
I swear I can't watch enough Kanye performances. Never EVER gets old.
5 years later in replying your comment, shows how true
From how me moves he's arms and legs like a puppet than sign the song fuck man this is why I always support Yeezy.
Little Lamb08 yeah he held his left arm out the whooooole time and was singin and emoting so much man. I always thought the industry hates that the beat artist of the last 20 years is a black rapper from Chicago. He ain’t just gonna fall in line. Everyone wished they could use his talents to help them or their artists and if he was a puppet he would but no.

I just wanna be a real boy
Pinocchio's story goes, to be a real boy
Pinocchio's story goes, to be a real boy
I just wanna be a real boy
The funny thing is
Pinocchio, lied, and that's what kept him from it
I tell the truth, and I keep running
It's like I'm looking out there, tryna find something
I looked on the TV, and I see me, and see nothing
So what does it feel like, to live real life, to be real
Not some facade that no one can really feel
Do you really have the stamina?
For everybody that sees you that say, "Wait a second, where's my camera?"
For everybody that sees you to say, "Can you sign an autograph?"
For everybody that sees you crying, say "you oughta laugh
You oughta laugh!?"

We gon' say that people don't like you
We gon' try to make the whole world hate you...
Don't tell, don't never say what everybody else is thinking...
Nigga, nigga don't miss...
Walk perfectly, in this town...
And I feel down again, when I'm down again...
And I'm down again...
Can you imagine how many times they told me
That I would never work in this town again?
In this town again...
And I felt down again, and I felt down again...
And I felt down again...(Do you get it?)
Can you imagine how many times they told me
I'd never work in this town again
But now, 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl, sold out!
AYE, Don't let 'em bring you down, don't let 'em bring you down, down...
It's more ways than they way to do it
And I'm here to prove it...

And they told me, told me...
For 6 years that ain't nobody love me
And they told me, they told me...
You better not show your face in public boy
They told me
Better stand still Emmett Till, better stand still Emmett Till
They told me, they told me, they told me...
(they told me, they told me, they told me, they told me...)
Like Pinocchio, they must have lied
Cause I feel so much love tonight!
They must have lied, 'cause I feel so much love tonight!

They must have lied, 'cause I feel so much love tonight!
They must have lied, lied...

Absolutely breathtaking
The reason I like kanye west, is because he is honest. Don't care if he wouldn't like me. I'm just here for the music.
I love coming back to this video. The way he starts off with the classic version of Pinocchio’s story and then proceeds to turn the song into a more positive reflection of how far he has come and the obstacles he’s overcame is such a beautiful thing to watch and listen to
I love that Kanye West has never released a studio version of Pinocchio Story. It just adds to the emotion of the song.
I am so fucking happy that there are other People appreciating this Masterpiece as much as me. Makes my Heart warmer ❤️

The world of art will mourn Kanye West like nobody ever when he passes away.
damn this gives so much context to what he has been talking about today
Bennett Miller exactly
“We gon try make the world hate you” like wtf, this is happening right now
Bennett Miller that’s why because most ppl never heard this!
2 years later and it’s still gives so much context to what he has been talking about today.
and still to this day he is fighting for the change he wants to see and is being labeled crazy.
I love the auto version, when he says he feels alive it's like he saying a tin man can have a heart... I wonder why people hate autitune so much?
I think its because alot of people ise it as a way to mask the fact they cant sing. But Kanye uses it as an instrument so its different.
#Auto _Kat I think people just hate the way auto tune is used today. No one could use auto tune like Kanye, T Pain, and lil Wayne could. Since Kanye kinda birthed this style in 808s he takes the blame for it although he does it phenomenally well
Always standing with this man
This is the strongest and most powerful song I have ever heard.
I think the masks that Kanye wears now in his Donda era is a reference to this performance and lyrics. Especially because he sings "i won't show my face in public" and "they told me, in six years ain't nobody gonna love me" and it's six years since this performance happened. But Kanye, we love you.
Every time I hear B.O.B version , I have to hear this one’ !
He’s actually commented on why he wears the mask. To paraphrase it’s because he feels like he might be doing something weird with his face and somebody takes a picture, or that someone will take a picture of him at a bad angle. Basically he feels insecure about his face so he covers it up. Pretty sad really
@@12gaugeTim yep, he's been doing it since the yeezus era
kanye is just a level above the rest - the realest of all time, the greatest of all time
The single best performance of a song of all time. Fucking phenomenal.
His performance of Hey Mama at the grammys has to come close
he's really messing with the crowd, at first, he has them all low and sad at his pinocchio story and then he turns it around and makes it a positive performance near the end like when he says he feels so much love tonight..he's a master at working with the crowds emotions with his lyrics and how impactful they are. that's how good art is ...it's supposed to make you feel something.
really enjoyed this.
Lucky Sport the bape yeezys though
he doesnt set prices
You still a fan?
Lol everything 20$ now

@@JamesTaylor117 they've been trying to get ye forever that's what this song is about. He's probably done things and made sacrifices for them. But part of his soul will never be completely under chains like the rest of the celebrities. They will never completely have him under their control. If you look at the song under the context of Kanye struggling to remain free despite the attempts to control him it makes sense.

Yeezy is the greatest artist of our generation.
This is the most beautiful thing that I've seen.
The absolute greatest performer of our generation. Even if someone wasn't a fan of his music, I feel like this video alone could show how much of himself he puts out there and the impact it has on everyone in that arena.

You need to listen to more than
Ever since his storytellers performance, I’ve noticed how he has such a knack for bringing in actual musical instruments and musicians to his tours. Such a brilliant artist.
Even before, I know he has an album made of late registration and college dropout songs with an orchestra component. Called late orchestration
He is a genius and - love him or hate him - he is brilliant,” "Adam Levine"
Kanye is the greatest artist of all time ..Coming from a Drake Stan
Jerome Kudah honestly at least top 2 him and prince. But Kanye speaks to me even more. People don’t see this or they see something like this and don’t even understand how much depth there is in a performance like this. What he’s saying is beyond real

I don’t condone idolizing but Kanye is an inspirational person. His art is so powerful and his impact is out of this world. His way of expressing himself just helps others relate and feel less alone. Thank you Kanye.
Mike Dean really put the cherry on top woth the ending solo, i was in Awe

His best performance imo. Everything about it is beyond genius.
Beautiful. Kanye is the type of artist that comes along once in a lifetime. He will go down as one of the greatest musicians/artists of all time, not just rapper.
He better.
This is so much better than the album version. Also I love how they include a bit of the All of the Lights motif.
Sad's Channel where is all of the lights motif? Is it in the backing piano?
Sad's Channel yeah the album one is great, but this one is God tier. The all the lights motif. The guitars. Violins. Pianos. The emotion. Lyrics. The presentation. Amazing.
Sad's Channel Nah the motifs were from Heartless not All of The Lights lol
monojuice 3:31 all of the lights
"Beg Forgiveness" on Vultures 1 brought me back here. It's a song that must be listened to and felt.

The song is about the powers that be behind the scene trying to control his narrative which is even more prevalent today. 2022 Kanye is just an even more honest 2015 Kanye. They are literally trying to cancel him right now which is what 99% of this song is referencing to
@@hsucduwnot only
@@hsucduwThe song is about how Kanye is no longer a “real boy” due to his immense fame and is now a spectacle for the public and a character on the TV.

This song should be massive probably the most underrated song I’ve ever heard.
