"this is probably one of the first ever footage of 64DD content with an HDMI N64." That's why I think you should show off the other content like the editor if you got the time. Just so it's archived on youtube. I love this series. Watching someone play this game with perfect video quality and 60fps makes me happy. Thanks for doing this! I can't wait to get my hands on a N64 with Ultra HDMI.
Thank you so much for uploading this. F-Zero X is one of my all time favourite games and I was always bummed out that we never got a western release of the Expansion Kit.
One of my favorite games ever, (alongside GX which is my #1) I'm so sad that I can't play this on my 64. I just gotta have this content, especially since the series is dead as we know it, so any new stuff is strongly welcomed. This looks incredibly fun.
If Nintendo was able to release the e-Reader levels with Super Mario Advance 4 on the Wii U VC (including a few not released in America), then I'm not ruling out the possibility of them translating the 64DD Expansion Kit and releasing it with F-Zero X for a future release.
I created a Custom Machine known as: After Burner. To Make This: Have These Requirements. Front Choice 1 Rear Choice 4 Wing Choice 5 Body Color: Black Stripe Choice 4 Stripe Color: White Mark: N64 Logo SETTINGS: Body: B Boost: A Grip: D Driver: Anyone, but i prefer Captain Falcon. Since you cant fully spell Afterburner cuz you can only put 8 letters/numbers in it, so Machine Name: AFTRBRNR
I think it's similar draw distance, when you're too far away from the AI, the AI can't function properly and therefore can't handle the mine field or the lack of barriers. In Mario Kart 64, the blue shell was introduced to prevent you from going too far and causing the AI to go brain dead or to prevent the game from crashing.
it doesn't look like this when I play f zero x on the tv. is it because you're using an emulator? but then again I don't remember this jagginess when I used to play super smash bros on the project 64 emulator either
this is from console. with Ultra HDMI you can remove the blurriness that the console introduces to the image and this is how the game actually looks like.
that doesn't sound right... an HD console to a monitor sends across a digital signal. with the HDMI mod an analog RGB signal is being converted into a digital signal before reaching the monitor.
+After Dawn except for the fact this mod is soldered to the N64's CPU and GPU circuits directly, which bypasses all the analog circuitry. this thing is expensive for a reason since it does output a pure digital signal beyond what any other video mod can do. it's also why it can do the blur removal.
+Uchiha Madao i was told it still can't bypass the DAC conversion even internally and the only reason the gamecube (not n64) HDMI mod works is because of the proprietary digital av out port in the back. maybe the information i received was wrong. regardless, it looks like a very nice piece of tech. i can't imagine how much the DD + EK + HDMI mod costs altogether lol.
+After Dawn it was wrong info. i followed this mod for years and they showed enough info to know it goes directly for the internal circuitry. they also had more info about it in the website's FAQ. this mod basically adds what the digital AV port would be on GC and then adds other things like upscaling on top of that.
Having played this cup, and the DD-2 Cup, I just can't get behind them. While it is a cool bit of F Zero history, this is not a set of tracks I can recommend to anybody.
@@MadaoJoestar Admittedly, the main two I have a problem with are in DD-1, Silence 3 and Big Blue (Japon). Big Foot comes to mind when I think of DD-2. Most of the rest are fine however, that much I will agree.

AltF4Games Was machen sie den hier?
this game needs a remake with modern graphics but gameplay must be kept intact at least for the single player part.
16:30 me - "everyone but ead and zoda are dead. lol, what if we see zodas profile fall down because he died :P "
zoda - "WELL ARENT YOU CLAIRVOYANT?"

I knew FZero X DD was a thing but different gliders AND new Soundtrack?! Holy shit.
dude I've dedicated parts of my life playing this game one way. the way you just played... put my ass to shame lol
This quality/gameplay is EPIC!

They're _"Retired"_
0:24 why does it lag
+Roy disc load time.
Do you Know how to install dd Pack in Project64?
Arthur Mosso Nunes just get f zero x ek online and if that does not work, then gets the 64dd dump
Why did everybody die at 16:00???
+metapod3451 The Ai isn't too good on certain track portions not designed for them to go through, mainly with jumps and and sharp turns in the air.
Small pox

How do you play this aggressive?
Why the 64dd has more contenta than a n64 cartridge game
9:30 Wow…
why are the graphics so jagged?
a 320x240 game blown up this much will be jaggy.

@@MadaoJoestar that was a question that I wanted to do, If this is pure real video straight from console or emulation
@@Deception2000 you're replying to the answer to that.

how much latency/lag is there?

that's a bit too harsh. some of my favorite tracks are in these cups. there's a few weak ones in there but also has some of the best ones.
